- I've been hauling and reviewing a lot of middle eastern perfumes and I have come across some fairly new releases that I simply didn't like. We can't like everything but these have been some perfumes I don't like and they were a bit hyped up and they won't be staying long in my perfume collection.

Omg I am so happy someone validated my hate for Rifaaqat! I was so disappointed when I got it. Smelled like burnt wood. I didn’t even get vanilla. Actually thought maybe I had a bad one and almost bought another one. So glad I didn’t waste my money! We must have the same nose. I am a forever subscriber now!
Forbidden Sugar is my bedtime jam! Very very powdery and lasts until the next morning....let it sit sis 😅
I watch more than a few fragrance reviewers. Never have I seen reactions like yours. Especially when so many others like these. I had to subscribe just to find out what you do enjoy. In saying all this, I loved your out right honestly. You cracked me up!

what gets me is that the notes are always so lovely but it doesn't pass the sniff test. 😂
I have my qissa delicious for almost 2 months and the chocolate note got stronger 💪 I like it for bedtime or work
Can you smell all of the other scents yet? I feel like I want to try it. It'll be ready by fall if I get it now😂

Are these recent purchases or have you let macerate? With a lot of middle eastern perfumes they need to macerate for a couple of weeks or months. Some really calm down and get sweeter with maceration.
You got a point.
Spot on..all ME fragrances need time to sit and mature. I had to allow 6 months to a year for the fragrance to develop into something beautiful. Rifaaqat and had to sit for a couple of months. Now the fragrance has a gorgeous sueded leather and vanilla blend.
@@thebodyloungechi Yup I think, though I could be wrong, the stronger the fragrance the more it needs to macerate. I have had Bright Peach for three months and it's just now calming down and getting sweet I think another three months and it will be something I really enjoy wearing.

I have my rifaaqat for 4 months now, at first it smell like a dirty cat lol, after 4months men that vanilla is something else it got smooth creamy with vanilla and strong i like it now
I kept mine for six months, it didn’t get any better. I just got the real babycat and it’s beautiful. They don’t smell alike. Riffaquat smells like someone that should go and wash their kitty.

yes same! it smells so good! the burnt smell is almost non existent now after maceration. That spicy vanilla is something and at that price point! 🙌🏼 I honestly feel bad for people who got a different scent out of this gorgeous perfume. Not one person disliked it on me either so I don’t understand 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
I had mine for 4 months and it barely changed. Just wasn’t for me. I am with chi chi on this one.
ChiChi put that Sensuous Nights one away for 3mo and then come back and tell us if it works. It has potential 😄
I actually did like that one as well. Didn’t last long but I could get behind it for sure.
I’m right there with you on Bayn al Asrar….I don’t like the opening, but once it starts to dry down I kinda like it. I definitely like it better in the air than I do ‘nose to skin’. I’m keeping mine until next Spring to see if I enjoy it more.

I was never convinced about that whole baby cat hype refused to try Raffikat especially after looking at the notes.
Loved this video. I really had to be honest with myself about most ME fragrances. I refuse to buy any fragrance that I would be ashamed to leave out on my vanity. Those bottles can be down right hideous. Quality and aesthetics are very important to me.
I finally got Guidance after contemplating and have the dupe. Girl you telling facts....don't love wearing it because I confuse myself when I smell me but the compliments pour it. Guidance is deeper than the dupe, it's the la rose to delina exclusif to me 😂
I’ve only tried a couple of “popular” Middle Eastern fragrances so far and didn’t like either. They came for me when I said I didn’t like the Afnan Valaya dupe. I gave her away and sold others on Mercari. Can’t like what you don’t like. 🤣🤣🤣 I’ve had the Guidance dupe on my wishlist for a minute tho.
Afnan took the Juniper out. That is part of her magic. 🪄🙌🏾 so I don’t want it… LOL..
ChiChi I understand you on Forbidden Sugar! I keep going back to it sniffing and still have not been blown away. It's not sweet to me at all. It's supposed to be a dupe of Sugar by Frank Boclet. Smh! The bottle is the best thing going for it😂

I have most of these reviewed fragrances. Rifaaquat is a love. I thought I'd hate it because I hate By The Fireplace (we're talking pure smoke black charcoal, and loads of bitter cloves).
I also have Forbidden Sugar - it's just a sweet violet floral to me. Tons of violet which I like, but Zaras "Violet Bloom" does it better - it gives more tartness and playfulness.
That so me! I may not care too much for a fragrance personally but for a good reaction... Spray me down baby!
Forbidden Sugar sounds like something I would vibe with as well from the notes. Your description however, hilarious!
Qissa delicious is closer to sweet tooth. Anyways perfumes are really subjective. Just like, I don’t like Yum pistachio and any dupe of that DNA.

I dislike alot of middle eastern fragrances including qissa delicious, but I lOVEEE Rifacaat, it’s so smooth heavy vanilla and then the suede, no animalic middle eastern musk ,but mine isn’t beast mode or room filler I wish it was tho

Chi Chi.. You save me coins. I only care about want smell good and last. I do want your crown of smelling the best on the floor. I thought it was just me, but for the fifth time, I put on Guidance and got bug spray. It reminds me a little of Nebras, but I enjoy wearing Nebras. I will wait to purchase your top 3, 10 out of 10, year round middle eastern fragrances. Thanks
Literally had the same with Bayn Al Asrar, not a big fan myself, but everyone around me seems to like it! I’m so confused and am also on the fence whether to keep it just for the compliments 😂 I wonder what’s that one thing in the notes that makes everyone go crazy like that.
In a word? Hype. Hype about Guidance and hype about the fact that you can smell like the OG for less. There are so many that are seriously overhyped.
I enjoy Quissa D now but at 1st it was a no for me. It needed to sit and now it's my summer gourmound. It sat for the past 2 months 😅😅

i want a full dedicated review. I don't live in the states and I bought Bayn al asrar and had it ordered to a friends house who visits family nearby me. I already got it but I haven't received / tried it yet. Let me know what I got myself into.

New subscriber here. I do agree with you on a LOT of your list but I will say in defense of some that Middle Eastern fragrances need to macerate, at least two weeks or longer. It really makes a difference! I do have to say that I appreciate your honesty. Honesty is feedback and ALL of these fragrance houses, Niche and Designer, especially, need to hear it!!

Im so glad I found you. i believe we have similar noses. Bayn Guidance dupe has a note that I cant get past! Is it Frankensense im not sure. I have even let it macerate and still its a no! I had Rifaacat in my cart buuuuut im going to wait, if you have not let it sit would you come back in a month or so if tou have time and let us know if it has changed please, because i dont like masculind leaning fragrances. Guuuurl, I bought Rifaaqat & Bayn Alasrar in the same order. I was sad & dismayed, like "I know this ain't what the girlies are RAVING about!?" 😢 I agree, Rifaaqat is def a masculine scent, I'm giving it to my guy. I'm giving Bayn to my mom, I'm not the target demographic for that fragrance either. 😂
Rifaaqat is a whole man and I'm like ladies how are yall wearing this. Bayn I don't think anything is wrong with it is just not my scent profile
@LavishlyChiChi Bayn ALMOST made it to my perfume cabinet, but space is scarce & something in the background of that scent is like "No ma'am!" I let them both sit for over a month & pulled them out while watching your video. Rifaaqat smells GOOD, but for a man. Bayn is nice, but a lil too mature for my taste. Neither were "as advertised." But that's why I love a good blind buy... you never know what you're going to get. 😂

hey Chi Chi! what would be your favourite ME perfume? :) just curious. I gave up on ME after Khamrah which I hate, did not like Nebras either. ME perfumes to me tend to have something weird in them that gets on my nerves :D but then again I haven't tried that much
My current favorites are khair pistachio, khair fusion, pear potion and batikh watermelon. They're a bit more youthful and fun especially since it's summer

How long have you owned Forbidden Sugar? Is it something you recommend for beginners/nubes?
I've been using Arabic fragrances to both figure out my likes and preferences and build my fragrance wardrobe/arsenal etc. at a cheaper price. But I'm realizing if you just follow the hype you can smell dank or great for another woman but not quite the version of yourself you were hoping for lol
I have YSL babycat and it is bourbon vanilla heavy . I haven’t tried rifaaqat but they say it’s not as vanillic as babycat .
Mine is heavy on vanilla tho, really really similar to babycat, I feel like if you love babycat you will definitely love rifaqaat

Mine is heavy on vanilla and I don’t really like spicy perfumes but love it, try and sample first it smells really close to babycat

@@blackpearltranchau I feel like if you are a girly soft girl you might not like it, even tho it’s a vanilla perfume the suede note and spices make it quite unisex, I can see a man in suit wearing this .
I think it’s nice to have if you are building a collection or if you really LOVE vanilla perfumes .

I can't handle powdery at all in the hot climate i live in..chokes me out. It ruins many fragrances for me.
I stumbled upon your channel and was waiting on you to tell me what Rifaaqat smells like but did not get that. To say if that is what Baby Cat smells like then you don't want to smell it leaves much to be desired. I got it and stored it away because it smells like burnt rubber with a tad of vanilla. I guess that's the leather or suede but I do not want to smell like the interior of a leather car that has been left in boiling sun.

I fell for the hype with forbidden sugar, I couldn’t spray it twice, none of my friends would take it, it went in the trash, horrible! Riffaquat is a sad dupe of Babycat. Babycat has a rich, beautiful vanilla and doesn’t smell like a man. I’m not buying anymore Middle Eastern fragrances, I think I’ve purchased around 30 and all but 5 were not worth the money.

Yea forbidden sugar is nicer when macerated ❤ and reminds me of Hundred silent ways X. And Guidance is the best of best 🥹 everyone loves to smell it in the air
