- The F.C.20 bis in War Thunder is an Italian Plane with a 37mm cannon in the nose! There are a few large calibre cannon planes in War Thunder but this one is truly special. The 37mm fires an APHE round with 50mm of penetration but it can be fired in rapid succession making follow up shots really easy!
The FC20 bis is nicknamed the Ducki due to the similar play style to the German Duck but it's honestly more like an A-10 with how much firepower this thing carries.
In this video, I showcase only the F.C.20bis to show what this little plane can do! Spoilers... a LOT!

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE LOW TIER CAS PLANE AND WHY?
There is a Stukka with 2 33mm cannons (i think) i love it!
I mean, the P-47s are just irresistible to play.
Stuka D-5, six MG151s go brrrr. The mostly APHE belt has just enough pen to go through the roof armor of a lot of vehicles

P400 20 mil, 2 50's and a 500 pound bomb
Isn't it just awesome that your teammate can gun you down within an inch of your life, but you still get punished for killing them? Thanks gaijin!
Also people can troll and insult you at will, then proceed to teamkill you, then squad-report you if you say anything back, then you're getting chat banned for a month because you've been in such situation before, so it's ALWAYS your fault.
Ikr pretty dumb heck I've had matches where I play air rb as a bomber and had people just start randomly shoot me with their gunners like 5 seconds into a match.
I do really apologise for this, i didnt really get war thunder at the time and had no clue how to play, i regret this immensely and wish i could undo it

I think the removal at realistic lowered even more to arcade. They should have just increased the punishment.

Because the army wanted a CAS plane that could easily do Logistics Harassment (second thing was from a document I read Years go, probably wrong about that tbh(definitely wrong btw))

@@jidk6565 no it wasn't made for logistics harassment. It was designed for CAS against armored vehicles and ground troops. Sadly it was horrible at it, but was usable for propaganda, since you can see it, a jet far up yeeting smart bombs you can't.
It was a horrible, horrible plane and even upgraded with everything they said it wouldn't need it is subpar, compared to other jets in the Air Force, doing CAS missions.
this plane looks like an absolute blast, definitely going to take it for a spin once i get my pc fixed.
Low-tier Italy is really fun in Air and Ground. So is mid-tier to be fair.

Since my Italian air tech tree isn’t super ground out, I usually take this thing up to 5.7, and, I mean, if there’s AA up, you’re dead, obviously, but it still shreds stuff like Panthers
I wanted to like the Italian tree but it feels like driving paper-mache tanks

I had to use this Aircraft for a decal challenge and it quickly became my go to with its Air Target belts plus the 37mm Frag shell making it a good Aircraft killer
Anything Italian with the .50s is a monster now. Since you did the fc20 you should go lower and try out the breda 88 with it's 3 .50s and 3 single drop 100kg bombs it's a monster and has a beautiful camo 🤌🤌🤌🤌

Italian .50 cals are busted, and have you seen the SM.91 and 92? The 91 has 6 front facing 20mm 151s and a 151 turret, and the 92 has 3 151s and 3 .50cals, plus a 13mm turret
All at 3.7 and 4.0

I absolutely love this thing. It's not my favorite CAS plane in low-tier, but that cannon is extremely satisfying. Flight performance is what kills it for me, I much prefer stuff like the IL-2 or American fighter-bombers, and heavy fighters like the Bf 110. This one feels like an Italian Hs 129, and it's definitely still very fun.
Looked like that TK attempt may have been due to his bomb only getting one kill when he was aiming for the lot you almost completely cleaned up. Guess he wanted just that one more kill... *le sigh*
No he dropped his bombload on another target. He was the one who got the kill on the panzer and scored an assist for Odd. He was just being a dick.

Honestly it’s pretty OP at it’s current br. I ran it effectively until 3.7 and used it until 5.0. It’s energy retention is garbage, but that 37 can do a lot of work
Don't talk nonsense, he's fine where he is, Italy is one of the countries with the most over-tiering vehicles. I'm tired of people having to nerf into the ground all the Italian vehicles that are decent.
For that matter, I've seen "Pz.IV G" in battles with BR 8.0 but it would never occur to me to say that "Pz.IV G" needs to be nerfed at a BR of 8.0

bring some love to Italy 5.0 with the G.55 Serie 1, its actually somehow very enjoyable, albeit expensive. Its got 3 MG151s and 2 12.7s, and pairs nicely with the M4 Firefly in the Italian tree, which gets APDS.
That was very fun to watch! That thing is definetely better then the duck.
The german Bf 110 with the 37mm Autocannon is kinda like this plane at 3.7BR. Twin MK108s in the nose can evaporate light vehicles even with a near miss and the 37mm can pen a kv-1 from the front.
Its amazing how chill odd was when that guy was attacking him.
Gaijin should make it where if a teammate shoots you more than two or 3 times, you don't be penalized for killing them

I had no idea - that Italy had its own version of the Beaufighter -- Impressive.
There’s a twin engine interceptor in the Japanese tech tree that has a similar cannon. It’s not amazing, but it’s pretty fun.
If I remember correctly all the Japanese cannon planes only run HE rounds for their cannons,meaning their ground destruction abilities are almost none
@@_Vesper He's probably referring to the Ki-109, which has a 75mm AP ammo belt. It has a slower RoF but really good flight characteristics.
Also the Ki-102 otsu should have access to an 57mm AP & HEAT round as its quite litterally a tank cannon, that's already in used in Ground Forces. But Gajin refuses to add them.
@@ericlorenz6679 Ah right, I must have overlooked that, I imagine an AP round is worse for destroying tanks than an APHE round, as well less ammo capacity considering the size of the shell, which is probably why I overlooked it. Thanks for correcting me

, if you like big guns CAS you'll love the IL-2-37. I've been using it lately and it's a blast. The twin 37mm on that thing is insane and can kill both planes and tanks with equal ease.
It's fucking awful until you unlock new cannons, then it becomes pretty fun.

I remember ammo racking a Sherman with the Italian 50 Cal from the top. As for the plane its not bad I just wish it had better engines

Targeted team kills should really be a bit more harshly dealt with than they are.
Awesome flying and CAS Odd. Damn impressive as always. I really have to muck about with my plane controls and get some practice in. Easy to see how useful a good CAS player can be.
I was playing low tier American last night. 3.3 Br, and had a nice post around a rock. Good cover and my tank was all bushed up to ambush people. Got 5 kills and then a teammate came up from behind to push me out while peppering me with his .50cals. I got sniped and he took my spot... ass.
So naturally I came back in my F4U with twin 1k lbs bombs. And he got one dropped on his face.
Moral of the story. Don't be a Dbag team killer/troll, the more experienced players will give you your due. Ended that match with 11 kills not including him. XD

Ya you gotta use keys to fly. Expecially if you are looking behind you. It becomes 100% nececary in higher BRs to deal with air to air missiles aswell.

You should use the SM.91 (3.7), it's bomb placement is garbage but the 6 20mms can easily deal with tanks with top down attacks, I use it in 5.7 games and can easily kill M4s, Panthers, Tigers
