- Who will win the Marvel movie war of 2024: Sony or Disney? While Sony seems to be focused on releasing more Marvel-related movies in 2024, Disney surprisingly seems to be more concentrated on pushing out Disney Plus-related Marvel content. So far, Sony has Madame Web, Kraven the Hunter, and Venom 3 all releasing in theaters sometime in 2024. Whereas Disney’s Marvel Studios only has Deadpool 3 slated to release next year. But looking at Disney’s MCU streaming schedule, there’s 5 coming in 2024: Marvel Zombies, Spider-Man: Freshman Year, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, X-Men ‘97 and Echo.

They didn’t choose to give them time. They had to because of the writers and actors strikes. If those strikes didn’t happen we would’ve gotten more movies and shows this year.
Oh yes, it dropped because of objective quality. Totally not because of the Hollywood Strikes that presentes promotion from the cast.

They just remade the Transformers 1 Storyline, switched Megan Fox Sexy Scenes for CGI Venom Jokes and made Riot, the maybe most unimportant Symbiont Marvel has, into their Megatron! Alone the fact that Venom Symbiote is not talking to Eddie in Comics (or any other Media)! The Movies are completely build on the Venom/Eddie relationship! @@GFlight.916

Not surprising that the ones to ACTUALLY bring about Marvel fatigue isn’t even Marvel themselves, but Sony. Marvel’s at least making a noticeable effort to scale back the amount of projects they have whereas Sony’s just going full steam ahead and it’s going to backfire on them tremendously.

It's a very smart strategy. Sony makes the worst comic book movies and so Disney is letting them stink up the field, priming it for their releases in 2025. What Disney's job is now is to come up with better movies in the meantime. But they aren't doing too well in that department right now either. After the last black Panther movie they haven't made a decent Marvel movie in a while.

The Sony Spider-Man Cinematic Universe but-without-actually-Spider-Man-himself has been a bad joke from the get go, and not even Hugh Jackman will be able to save Deadpool 3, which will be undoubtedly watered down and sanitized in order to nicely fit into the MCU cookie cutter standards.
This might just be the final nail in the coffin for superhero movies.
