But in some instances, yes.
Trench with his datacron is a solid off-meta counter to jabba.
I have done it probably a dozen times and haven't lost. Even losing dooku, I've won. Even with jango having no mods I've won.
Trench also is a decent counter in my experience against Rey (with Rey or Holdo cron) in GAC when you replace wat with GBA.
Ahnalds problem is he gives tech out wrong. He should start with weapon tech on nute against jabba. Giving tank tech first is where he is wrong
@@lightarc7126 even without his datacron, he can do work against Rey (no DC) but ahnald is correct that he is pretty bad outside of those instances
I've also beaten a Malgus with him before but that was sketchy

I encountered 1 gungan team, luckily for me I was able to use my leia against the gungans and win the GA
Saw this coming a mile away. Everyone’s been saying we want a defensive team. But for a team to be good on defense they pretty much have to be unbeatable with how small the board is, and as soon as we get an unbeatable team people aren’t gonna be happy about it lol kinda puts cg in a tough spot, they just need to expand the board in K1 or something
It's entirely CGs fault by making power creep disparities as disgustingly massive as they are with every release.
They don't do marginal increases ever since JKR.
I didn't play it very well, but I still killed most of the Jar Jar team with Fennec/BAM. It was enough to get an easy cleanup with Geos, but I think I could have beaten it in one shot if I had played better. Probably not with the new datacrons though.

Remember reva malgus and bo r benefitting from old datacrons so when they go away and gungagns stay have their one they might not be counters anymore
But Reva is getting her own datacron. I have the level 6 and jesus CHRIST it's a disgustingly nasty one. Easily tearing apart Leias in squad arena with no omicron.
I'd imagine with Ninth Sister level 9 with the extra 200% bulk on top of the level 3 will make them very very thick.
HOWEVER, Frustration does stop attacks out of turn so that might make things very difficult for the team.
I’m not seeing any bounty hunter with Fennic in there, especially with Bossk lead being able to work around taunt and deathmark whilst calling to assist Fennic with mando
After looking at his animations and voice lines he's the only character I wouldn't mind losing to on defense.
I refuse to believe that the best conquest character of all time (Trench) has a zero percent win rate

Long time ago i watched those Videos and thought in 1 year this is what i must prepared for but now i'm kyber 2 and already hat a fight aganst jar jar and was i happy that i had jml left over for that team 😄
I used reva and she works really good against jarjar. I also seen ppl using malgus but i haven’t tried it myself.
Yep, surprisingly Reva is doing alright. I was surprised to see her excel especially since Deathmark only helps the Gungans.
Does anyone know how well the 501st fare against the Gungans? Surely they'd do OK considering the assists and such that they do?
I think, even though we don‘t do that often, we should congratulate CG. I think the Gungans really are a unique, well designed team, that give me nostalgia and a lot of fun.😇
I'm curious why Mon Mothma hasn't been used vs the gungans.
the high hold rate is a little bit a function of it being the first round with a full gungan squad and no one knowing what to use
Do detonaters work against them? as it looks like turn meter train teams should do well, so maybe a first order team (ofcourse with new datacron, but even without). Or phoenix, which can quickly take down the shield. Or padme. or even geonosians maybe
Not really. Thermal detonators are a percent health effect and, well, Gungans have like no health on them haha One of the reasons why a Jabba team struggles vs Gungans.

The gungan team is setting the new bar it’s been while I’m here for it cause I like the team
I had success against them with GG and STAP with STAP omicron in GA. My first try was SLKR with complete failure but for droids Gungens was just a food. When the turn meter train kicked in it was slaughter fest.
A surprise to be sure but a welcome one 😅😂

Can you win with turn meter team?
I was in Kyber2 & saw Gungans vs. my last opponent, which surprised me. JML handled it. Just have to work down the shield generator, then off Jar Jar first, followed by the Boss. The Gungan-specific datacron could be problematic.
Yeah JMLS seems to be one of the few GLs where it should be safe to use.

Yeah who knows... I want to believe the health/protection level 3 datacron should allow Malgus to survive long enough to take down the generator.

To be fair, there aren't many Gungans that CG can pull from to make more gungan teams. So maybe they are going for the quality over quantity route for the faction. Maybe a Bombad General Jar Jar galactic legend could come but idk
That is actually an interesting point. I do not see them coming back to this faction for a long time. Only Datacron and Omicron boosts maybe.

Well dont worry. All it takes is CG to add a new omicron. Like when Reva was OP beating all GLs then they added Traya omicron and now its not a problem anymore

Last GAC one of my opponents lost against my Zorii holdo cron, with a full R8/9 Gungan squad, so until the holdo cron is gone im thinking its an easy win.

A thing to note with Bo, the winrate is 100% with high banners once you use OG bo. Once you use armorer it drops a lot. This is of course with DC which helps big time. But just to show she seems to have been the safest counter for the 1 week we had her

well, Kyber players WERE saying there weren't enough defensive teams that can consistently get holds.
Gungans are a top tier team so no shame using another top tier team against them

I beat gungans with r3 pheonix and r7 crex. I find it strange that you have like 7% success....it was quite easy in fact....
I was pretty surprised it was a super low win rate too. Wasn't expecting a cakewalk but at least a 40% success rate. Unless you fought a Gungan team with missing omicrons or lower gear/relics.

It was r7 team with r8 tarpal and r8 jar jar. Jar jar with 2 omicrons and no idea how this team was modded. My pheonix team has not good mods but i used cron with prot up. Kaanan died but i dont know why...
Glad I got my jar jar!! Did it Basically f2p too. Super excited to have such a good team early. (First time ever getting a legendary first time around)

@@AhnaldT101 Yeah the biggest issue was time since they cleansed the dots so often. Eventually got the shield generator down and 5 stacks of dots on everyone
