Nice area with beutiful surroundings. How come your sushi has no rice...? This is unusual. Enjoyed your tour. Thanks Solo.
Good question! This wasn't really a sushi was a fusion food with another type of Malaysian food. My pleasure to show you 😃
It was a shocking and funny moment when the Popia seller went through the ingredients. The 'meat frog' was probably meat faux or faux meat. Remember, her popiah is vegetarian so no meat is involved there. 😆
It a meat floss dude.period
Haha, yeah I was little bit confused
Haha, meat frog lol :D:D, its good you explained us that it was faux meat :D:D Gosh thats hilarious :D
Yeah, it's meat faux... Of which "faux" should be pronounced as "fo" not like the way she pronounced it 😑 Faux means artificial.... It's an artificial meat.
Solo the best 👍
Thanks 😊
I wish you visit other cities in malaysia and beyond kuala lumpur, such as Johor Bahru in Singapore border and other cities near the border with Philippines and Thailand
Great idea, I'll be going around soon 😃
What the food vendor meant was meat floss, but in her case, it was made of flour. A vegetarian type of Pop-Piah(the correct pronunciation).😅👌
Thanks for the info haha it was a little bit hard for me to understand her
yes correct. it is meat floss.
❤
u get me hungry😋
Haha sorry 😜
Lol me too, I was watching it and my stomach was making noises :D
Today malaysia is crown as no.1 tourist destination defeating thailand. First time it happened lol 😂

@@meliz2511 The sky is still amazing even when the clouds are grey. Fly as always.
Assalamualaikum Solo .... Thanks for a good video again....
The sushi popiah that you're buying, I think it's meat floss and the crunchy things most probably be peanuts... I bet it taste good... I like popiah so much... It's just wrap in seaweed that makes the difference...
However just to make you aware, in Malaysia food street, when you see a non Malay seller, it's better to ask whether it's halal or not, because a lot of immigrants are also selling and even the local Chinese also sells non halal foods so just be careful... If inside restaurant normally they have the certification of halal from JAKIM but most street food they don't have it so better ask before buying...
Wasalam, I hope you are doing well 😃 Thanks for the info! Yeah, I asked before recording if it's Halal and she told me it was. Haha just got confused with the meat frog part 😂
@@TravelingSoloLogs actually I also heard the same... 😂😂😂
@TravelingSoloLogs Please show in video when you asked Halal or not for non local viewers.
The popiah-sushi lady (Malaysian?) could do with more smiles and better English. What she said that sounded like meat flog was actually meat floss. The crunchy thing that she couldn't explain was actually grated peanut.
Yeah I was confused with the meat frog part 😂 Definitely Delicious though 😋
@@TravelingSoloLogsthe question is: is it halal😂
In 90s apam balik is only 30 cents per piece...so much it has increased..
Wow such a difference
We were the ones who asked for photos earlier
Awesome! Pleasure to meet you 😁
Christmas vendor dec 15-17 u can get American style vrndor
Nice
u should go pasar malam. cheaper, tastier and worthable
28:35 The scooters and motorcycles on foot path - dangerous for blind person or a difficulty for stroller.
Yeah, unfortunately it can be hazardous
Yeah I have notices some people also park their motorcycles recklessly.... And it feels like your going trough maze sometimes :D.. But as for someone blind this would be even worse..
pretty much heard she said "tepung" which is basically "flour" - and kinda loose reference to either corn-based or wheat-based flour which was then deep-fried. not sure about that frog-thingy though 😅...seems she didnt speak enough english to explain away the food ingriedients
Haha well, it tasted good though 😂
@@TravelingSoloLogs but dude, u gonna have to pronounce "popiah" a little better though - its like... "poppy-yah" and not rhyming with "papaya" ✌️
Man came back 😅
Haha yup
not meat frog. hahah she trying to say Floss
Haha I see 😂
I think the first vendor are saying meat floss 😂
Yeah maybe 😅
Hello
Hey
i advice u that to be carefull buying from non muslim such as chinese because u can see the apam balik on the table have beer can. As long have halal certificate even cooked by non muslim no need to worry. But then for roadside or kiosk stall please prefer to buy from muslims to avoid any risk haram
Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it
Please Solo kindly I want to know what does it mean ( meat frog )
Haha me too 🤣
Mont kiara is not a luxurious area of Kuala Lumpur. It is just a preferred area for expat to live in.
Ok, what area is the Luxury area of Kuala Lumpur? Give me something nice as this area
I think Bukit Antarabangsa in Selangor (near Kuala Lumpur border) where famous
Minister, artist live.....@@TravelingSoloLogs
Damansara Heights, Bukit Tunku , Bukit Bandaraya@@TravelingSoloLogs . you need a car/bike to travel at this area as it is located on hill.
KL is a nightmare to travel. The highways and byways are like spaghetti. These roads have completely destroyed every district in KL.
Yeah, I hope they find a solution to the traffic problem
Meat floss or meat prawn? (Prawn meat?)
Haha not sure
It’s chicken floss ya 😅😂
Haha I don't know
It is not pronounced "papaya". Poh pyah. That is a common spring roll.
You got it 👍
I think she meant meat floss
Oh, I wasn't sure 😄
What?? Rm3 for 1pc of small apam balik?
It was a big one, that's too expensive?
Meat Floss
1 piece apam balik rm 3 = expensive
Oh really? What's the normal price?
I think it's meat floss.
👍
Yeah probably was 😃
U come to juju shake girl again..😂😂😂😂😂..
Haha yup 😂
i am a local Malaysian and i have lived in Mont kiara since 2005 and honestly, it getting sucks. Mont kiara is not like 5 or 10 years ago..some weird foreigners has started to infested this area, From Nigerian scammers, North Korean defectors , dirty China citizens and some rowdy arabs and cheap westerners who only know how to complain and demanding the locals to respect them just because they are white . the vibe of luxury and exclusivity is long gone with these dubious foreigners in Mont kiara.
So, what you are saying is all the problems are from foreigners and that's why the area is not nice anymore?
@@TravelingSoloLogs yes. and the problem is also coming from the Malaysian because we are tooo kind and gave tooo much hospitality to these foreigners until they took advantages of Malaysian kindness.
the darkside of luxury is the debt and debt collector 🤣
Haha, I guess
it's frog meat for sure because TTDI, PJ, Mont Kiara and Damansara is a chinese decent area so don't be confuses because they have frog meat and pork with lard_ and don't trust people so easily because seller can manipulate you anytime😂
She told me it's halal and no pork. So I hope she was saying the truth.
He misunderstood the lady due to her Malaysian English. It is not “meat frog” ... she meant “meat floss” . That is meat cooked till dry and teased apart to form the floss.
Meat frog 🤮🤮🤮
😂
cheater
what?
I don't think that sushi popiah is Halal food ,since its also got something weird called meetfrog!!! Better not to buy your food from non malays and non muslims stall, since we can't guarantee if its halal food or not.may be the crunchy one is made from pork skins. Repent Soleiman or istighfar may ALLAH deserve you babe.
Agree with you...
Meetfrog or meatfloss? and the crunchy one is made from 'tepung' as she said which is flour. I think this is normal crispy popiah but wrap in seaweed. Usually crispy popiah is a vegetarian food. Im not sure what she said at the begining meatfrog or meatfloss 😅
@@rozanahalim4084The lady didn't pronounce it right - she meant meat floss but the "l" in the "floss" sounded like "r". She also couldn't explain the crunchy thing is grated peanut. I don't think she's Malaysian - more like Vietnamese?
Yeah, I'm not sure what she said about meatfrog 😂 but before I started the video I asked if it was Halal and she said Yes
