I have this game, and I can honestly say it is one of the best games I have ever played! I mean, how can I describe reliving the experiences through my in-game avatar on World of World of Warcraft?
It's 2023. I hope they release World of WoW Classic Hardcore so that I can see my character's frustration when his character dies first hand and laugh at what a loser he is, immediately followed by hysterical crying of my own.
I think this starting to happen especially with GTA V. You can also watch your character watch tv, look at his smartphone, and also browse the internet.
And inject five whole marijuanas while watching tv, looking at your smart phone and browsing the internet. I wish the effects would last longer in the game though.

It's an old 2008 upgrade that never went past its beta stage, but Blizzard like they always do took their time in creating an even deeper virtual reality, and soon you will be able to play a character playing ANOTHER character that plays World of Warcraft, so it's one level deeper than this one. Plans also exist for a 3rd layer in 2020. They admitted they got this idea when they saw the "Inception" movie.

The immersion in this game is amazing. My character got fired from minimum wage job as a bagger in WallMart and had to resort to petty crimes to pay for his three kids. Unfortunately my stats were too low so I failed one of the theft raids. Right now I'm just waiting for the yearly reset so that my character can go back to playing World of Warcraft, then I'll have to grind the reputation for my children to get custody back. I didn't know reputation with some NPC decays if you don't interact with them often enough, or else I would have spent some more time capping it out earlier. If I can give a recommendation to anyone else wanting to try this game out, it is to not go on the dating side quests as soon as they open up. That's a mistake I did, It's a lot easier to get your character to play world of warcraft in world of world of warcraft if you skip those side quests. You'll also have more gold overall in the game as you won't have to spend gold on feeding your girlfriend npc and children pets, which means you won't have to spend as much time on the repeatable work side quests. Wait to unlock those until you get to the end-game and have a lot more time for repeatable quests.
I actually was thinking of this exact same thing one day. Because there are actually games where within the game, you can bring your character to play other games (Certain video games that you walk your character up to arcade games and can play them). I was thinking wouldn't it be funny if within that arcade game, you could bring the arcade character to another little game and play it, and then inside that one, do the same thing, playing games within games within games within games :D

I bought this game a couple years ago, and I have to tell you, that Adrian and I fell in love with the realism from session 1. I especially like when you are in the middle of a large raid, but you've drank so many cans of Pepsi Cola that your bladder is full. Thus, you have to get in and out of the bathroom as fast as possible while your teammates are killed and angrily yell at you through your headset. It's pretty intense shit. Most of the time it's easy to get back to the chair, but if you fail to flush the toilet, your mom might give you a lecture about proper bathroom etiquette, and will waste a large portion of your playing time and you don't really want that to happen, do ya? Also, power outages are the worst. When these happen, you have to complain to your mom and convince her to call the cable company to sort that shit out and get the electricity back online. But if you are really into this game, buy World of World of Warcraft: Fraternity Days. It adds a darker and edgier element to the game, letting you take greater control of your obsessive investment into World of Warcraft during early adulthood after an unsuccessful high school run. Introduced in this game are newer, and greater threats to your life, like roommates with poor hygiene, clingy girlfriends who won't go away, 10 page essays, and long, unnecessary Skype chats from his parents. Time management is key. Don't procrastinate too much, or you will be thrown out of college and back to the basement. Strained relationships, part-time jobs, sexual frustration, and student loans are the main conflicts, and these continue well past the end of the game.
