Some of that is due to what corporations will offer to the press to use, and unlike many CZcams channels, Autoline is not just using footage they have no authorization to use.
I come to this channel for the info and know their budget is tiny. I worked in broadcast media and remember the thick show binders with releases and copies of payments for footage used in various segments.

EV sales volumes will certainly increase over time, but it will be important for OEMs to do what they can to supercharge and accelerate that process.
Part of the picture will be to understand the true strengths of EVs and promote them appropriately, based on how real people use real EVs.
And part of it will be to develop the new corporate structures necessary for competitive EV development, with fully integrated systems and software.
And part of it will be to decode and deconstruct the anti-EV narratives constantly being fed into every public conversation.
These things will all become existential problems for EV makers - and especially legacy OEMs - as ICE sales fall below critical thresholds.

If vehicle prices continue their ascent (and lower-cost vehicle makers are excluded) the US, EU and Japan-based mega-featured, NHTSA-mandated “safe” cars will just be for the upper 30% of salaried workers.. Really, new car sales are going nowhere up long-term unless new vehicle costs get under control by some means.

Difficult in this environment. The completely nonfunctional Congress and the constant election turmoil make it very difficult to set a multi-billion dollar course that changes every four years depending on administration. On top of that there is the complete lack of local charging in the U.S. so at least 60% of potential buyers can't use EVs if you gave them away. Fine now for the wealthy and the few that want a sedan/hatchback, but we also don't have any developed used-EV market of a wide variety of types people want. I am no fan of the CCP, but they did focus resources on building up their EV manufacturing so they could dominate.
The Western builders focused more on what Wall Street wants, because CEO pay packages are deeply impacted by their stock options. It is profit now and f**k the future Wall Street thinking that is one of the main problems.
It will take both private sector and government focus to keep China from basically controlling everything.
So many outside China just ignored changes in China as they started building more and more of our products.

Companies should still push forward with their EV plans. The battery mining capacity, processing capacity, and cell production capacity are all going to be needed.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. If car companies want to put EV production on hold, fine. But move forward with battery cell production. Sign agreements with semi truck makers and trailer manufacturers to let them buy that spare cell production for use as electrically-assisted trailers.
Electric trailers are going to be the future of trucking and long-distance towing for pickups too.
