An in-depth video on jig fishing out deep. Info on the 360, how it's used, what I look for, jig type, etc. Screenshots of mega imaging and what I'm fishing. Fishing offshore is super easy if you trust and learn your electronics!
Minn kota should use this video !! Its the best advertisement I have seen yet !
Thanks!
Great 👍 video you was def smashing the bass !
Humminbird is awesome! 👍👌
You are awesome brother. Grateful for your vids!
Thanks Jeff! Appreciate it!
Man oh man sweet video
Awesome info 👍
Installing a 360 on my ultrex as soon as it cools off a tad. Hot in Alabama right now. Can’t wait to take it out there
Let us know how it works!
Awesome video, as always!
Thanks Tom! Glad people appreciate them.
awesome vid...keep em coming!
Good fisherman!
wonderful vid Casy eye opener!
you should go to this same lake, same time of year but with mega 360 and compare the differences between images! Appreciate all your informative videos!
Sounds like a plan, I'll see if it works out.
Nice content man
that guy underwater putting them fish on, should be running out of air soon...😆
Crazy how much he charges a day to do that!
lol
Sweet video! Now all I need is 10K to buy all that equipment.
or a $5 marker bouy
You just going to guess where to throw the $5 marker buoy, or line up a couple trees and a house and hope to be close? I'd rather spend the money and pound on the fish then to save the money and blind cast. To each his own, but that 360 will blow the doors off a $5 marker every minute of the day! That's why I use this stuff. It sure isn't to try and look cool. It's to get the job done.
You're a little short- 10K will get you most of it though :)
@@Basshole51 I assume you're just being funny. By today's standard that marker buoy is just as accurate and helpful as your spelling.
I would love to have seen an under water view.Nice vid.
I got the same set up that u have but u make look so easy I guess I just need to learn how too use them better great video
If you have the equipment just put your faith in it and keep learning it. I have 1000% confidence in my stuff and don't even think about it anymore. Just scan, mark, pull up to it and expect to catch fish. If you expect to, then you are ready for them when they bite!
great Vid
Thanks!
Well looks like im getting 360 now.
Sorry for making you spend your money! It's worth every penny though!
Bet you wish you were in a Bass tournament that day...
Z71Ranger probably a 25# bag or better.
@@gwagb27 You got big eyes. For a couple hours he sure wore em out though.
Can see in the video Ultrex SpotLock head is so much quicker response than my 4 year old Terrova SpotLock.
I've been super impressed by the spot lock. It also seems the windier it is the better it holds you, even if it's coming out of the water on giant waves!
👍👍👍👍👍
Yea you need a underwater camera.
Great video and information.....what batteries are you using...lithium?
Charlie Yingst for the trolling motor I’m using three group 29 Interstate batteries. For the main motor and graphs I’m using two Duracell group 31 agm’s in parallel.
How do you mount you 360 transducer with ultrex? Asked bass pro shop guy and they said it doesn’t work
You can buy the model that attaches right to it.
Would have like to seen if you could have caught them the same using an 8-10xd.
Would've been cool to see if they'd have hit the crank but I couldn't find a slow stretch to lay down the jig rod. I learned long ago if they are on fire and hitting cast after cast you might as well whack them and stack them!
Excellent video. What brand bow mount for your units are you using.
In this video they were bass boat technologies mounts. On our boats this season we are running Precision Sonar mounts on the console and bow. Our lund mounts were not perfect last season so we switched over to PS ones and they are rock solid and legit. Haven't mounted them yet because boats aren't in yet, but have the mounts in possession and they are GOOD!
Would you all please do a video on how you all have your pro v bass rigged. I’m looking into buying a Lund pro v bass and would like too see how your all’/ is rigged. Thanks
Not sure if I have time to get that done short term. I have 2 Solix 15's, Ultrex 60", Bow 360 and hydrowave up front. On the Console I have a Solix 15, jackplate gauge, dual trim lever for plate and tilt. On the rear dual 12' talons on tilt brackets and 10" Heavy Duty atlas jackplate. All depthfinders have their own heavy gauge wiring runs from the back battery to each finder. They run great like that. Also running two group 29's in the rear in parallel for the cranking battery and graphs. The solix take a lot of juice during a full day on the water. You can turn the brightness down to "7" and it cuts the amp draw by a HUGE margin.
you are making me bleed haha, would love to get the Ultrex with iPilot Link
I got a 25$ anchor that works pretty good. js
Idk why everyone is talking shit. This set up is bad ass. Im pretty jealous. Ill have to start with the ultrex 80 and 1 solix 10 mega + 5k at least 😫
Adding an Ultrex is a great start!!!
@@BassBrawlOutdoors lmao ordered it yesterday and had it installed by noon. I already ruined the transducer cable. They didnt install it properly and left the cables tied to the head unit and it pinched it smh.
@@tonygonzales1122 That's a bad deal lol! Hopefully they get it right and you get it out on the water soon!
@@BassBrawlOutdoors thanks, got it replaced and installed today. Tomorrow im gunna order the 360 and maybe the helix 10 or solix 10. I just dont know which one to get. Any advice?
Chasing The X if you can live without touch a screen go with the helix gen 3 that has mega plus. It will save you a bunch and still work and look awesome.
Awesome video!…What batteries are you using for your Minn Kota and how long do they last when using spot lock? Are you running all your electronics on those batteries?
We've been using 3 group 29 Interstate batteries. After a full day they still have tons of power. The electronics, verado, etc all are hooked to 2 group 29 interstates. This season we are rigging our Phoenix boats with 2 group 31 in parallel to handle 4 graphs and all the other stuff. Might be overkill, but I will not come off the water early with low batteries and that's worth the extra weight and cost.
So why did you guys switch from Lund?
I am running a 360 on my bow off of my ultrex. What do you find are the best settings to start with to get the best picture.
I switch them a little on every lake, but just for a quick starting point if you put your sensitivity on 12 and contrast at 13-14 you should have a decent picture. Easiest thing to do is pull up to a rock pile or other piece of structure and just tweak your settings while that stuff is on the screen. I've had to go 10 sensitivity and 18 contrast before on some lakes just to give you an idea. I hardly ever go below 10 on either setting on the lakes I fish.
Do you have the 360 transducer mounted on the trolling motor? If so why did you choose that mounting spot instead of the back of the boat.
Brad's Trail Cam Videos you can transom mount but by time you try to see stuff 60' in front of the boat it would be 80' from transom and be smaller on the screen. You can offset it but that doesn't change the size of data if you want that view in front. Also with two talons didn't want a third big item hanging back there. Plus the bow mount is tiny compared to the transom mount.
OK. Thanks for your response. How does it work in windy conditions when the 360 transducer is coming up and out of the water? Ive seen on wavy days where that transducer mounted to the trolling motor, is constantly coming out of the water. I assume you get less data as it cant be scanning when its up and out of the water?
yep, less data, but enough of it to still see the stuff in front of you. If I pull up to a rock patch, and it's in front of the boat, even if I'm missing some data on super windy days I see enough to know where to keep casting. My other favorite for it is early mornings or evenings when it's dark, I can pull up to my spots and pick them apart even when I can't see. Yes you could cast at a waypoint in the dark, but there is no way you can hit the exact target on every cast when firing at a waypoint only.
I didn't finish watching the video but I hear you talking about all this awesome equipment but you never showed the screen at all with the 360 imaging. you show the jig, the rattle, and the trailer. I would think the view would be more appreciated while you are talking. Ok I stand corrected. sorry for jumping the gun to soon. I would think with a helix the view would be much better. I'm looking to upgrade, but data needs to be much better than what I'm running now.
You can see the graph on the console and a lot of times towards the last half of video when I'm talking about the rocks you can see them on the console one too. Helix better how so? The Solix was about as good of a screen display as you can get. All I know is I won't fish with anybody if they are not running a 360 up front.
Did the 360 show where the fish was
If the fish are off the bottom just a little then the 360 shows white marks fairly good representing the fish. Most of the time though we are targeting specific targets like a rock, weed point, weed clump etc and expecting a fish to be there because it's a high percentage target.
It’s no longer fishing with those electronics it’s catching.
Efficiency 100%
Can I still buy the 360 transducer or is just megga 360 now, I have helix g2n9, with megga side image model
Yes you can still get the regular version that will work with the gen 2 helix. The regular version can 100% improve your offshore fishing!
Bass Brawl Outdoors so what does it take to get going, obviously transducer and one Ethernet cable, I have I pilot link,I think there is one more slot for that on my graph Ethernet set up right
Man I wish I can have a day like that. Are you running the bow 360 or the 360 off the back of the boat?
bow 360. The rear one would work but you need to offset it. Having the 360 at the bow where I stand and fish makes it super easy to fire your cast and hit stuff dead on.
I run the bow, but i'm running the 1100 series up front. I didn't see the clamp in your video so I wasn't sure. I'm pretty sure that I've got the 360 dialed in pretty good, but always changing on other bodies of water. I do have timber and islands that I fish. At times if i look at the 360, I see a brighter spot than normal, so i toss to those spot thinking that they might be fish???
What rod are you using to fish that jig?
MH Veritas and Villain rods. 7'1"
Did you invest in a diver that’s hooking you all those fish at the same spot?
when my kids get bored I make them go down and hook fish on. It's super easy and the videos turn out killer lol!!!!
There some oat deep a.
Bad fish handling skills. Letting fish hit the carpet on the boat reduces survival rates by 29%, holding the mouth with head locked back and with a single hand vs two hand hold, reduces survival rate by 31%, all in all his fish he is releasing will only have a 25-35% survival rate.
Tim Counce you must not watch professional fishing often
So if another pro shoots his boat, you would do the same? Just because a pro does it does not make it right. Shows your smarts there bubba. Nothing more than a lemming.
Where you pulling your stats Tim? I'd bet my life that more then 25-35% of those fish survived. Take your stat spewing somewhere else. Those fish were all under 5lbs - there is no way they were hurt by holding them with one hand and not two. Are you sure it's not 29.37% or 35.45%? Do you enjoy fishing? Make sure you don't set the hook too hard or you might cross their eyes. I'd hate for the bass to see crooked the rest of their life. I'll have to catch them and carpet skid them a few times to make sure to put them out of their misery faster!
