- Angel Reese and the Chicago sky did not win against the Minnesota Lynx but the former LSU Star did a great job on the court. Angel formed a formidable duo with former NCAA champion Kamilla Cardoso though she got an injury and left the game.We can't wait to see how the duo will shake the WNBA Women basketball league.

Kamila & Angel are going to be a PROBLEM. Kamila had 2 blocks, a steal, & 4rbs in only 13 minutes?! Only got to take 5 shots but still had big impact in just 13min.

they should televise all the games but if they are only going to do one then they pick the fullest stadium every time. Angel Reese is a superstar as well as Brinks on the sparks, and Caitlin Clark. I also think if Muhl makes the Storm she will eventually be great too. The WNBA isn't looking back anytime soon! Be patient stay positive!

To score 20 something points as a rookie first game is impressive. I'm just tired of people discounting her talent in whatever area it might be. She performed better than Cardosa which I expected that. Cardosa is the one thats throwing the ball up under the goal and has very little else to offer.

This is why the WNBA is not successful. They want to blame everyone except their terrible marketing of their product. The NBA blew up after they properly marketed the rivalry between Magic and Larry. The WNBA is all in on Caitlin Clark but ignoring every other potential star in their league. The WNBA should be showing Angel Reese just as much as Caitlin Clark. And when the Fever play the Sky I'm making that a nationally televised game.
The WNBA really dropped the ball on this one, no pun intended. The spontaneous, amateur live stream of this game on twitter had nearly 450,000 viewers at one point, and most people didn’t even know that it was happening. That speaks for itself. I like Caitlin Clark but she’s not the only new player coming into the league who people want to follow from college.

I noticed the veteran players not wanting to pass the ball to Angel and Kamilla. They also keep referring to them as rookies or rookie instead of their name 🤦

One of the networks needed to carry the Chicago game in order for it to be on the WNBA pass, It's up to the local or national networks to carry the game. The WNBA doesn't control that.

They don't have contracts like the NBA and other pro sports. The wnba keeps botching it. You won't see a broadcast if they can't profit from it. The wnba was asking ridiculous amount of money for a TV contract. Networks won't take it. Most pro sports make a majority of their money through media contracts. And the wnba won't accept the fact they lose 7 mil a year. And the NBA funds the league. And the players are crying about money. Well, start playing better and more entertaining and people will watch. They finally have a star. Andnwhat do they do? Blast her because of jealousy. This is bs. You won't your league to blow up; you got to promote and create story lines for your new raising stars. You just can't, milk one person. Build these players up so you can get people showing up to the games, not just to follow CC around like the Beatles are the Greatful Dead Shows. You got one of the best classes entering into the WNBA , and unlike the NBA that show cases multiple new young players, the next generation, when LeBron James leaves, they need to take lessons from the NBA on how to promote tour stars not star.
The problem is Angel Reese can't shoot the basketball but, she's a terrific rebounder. Caitlin Clark does it all and she's a terrific shooter that carried Iowa to the Finals two years in a row. Reese isn't going to carry anybody as she's a Dennis Rodman type player. Yes, she scored 13 points but 9 of them came in the form of free throws as she was 2 - 8 shooting but, had 9 rebounds. This is the exact same as the NBA as only a select few ever play on TV so, if you're a fan of another team that doesn't have LeBron, Jokic, Doncic and a few others, then you're either going to miss seeing them play or end up buying NBA League Pass. For example, I'm a Pacers fan and guess how many televised game(s) they got? I put the s in parentheses as they only had 1 game that was nationally televised. Warriors got 28 televised games while LeBron James and the Lakers got 27. Because the NBA has to have each team play on TV, 8 of those teams got 1 televised game as this is mandated. Hornets, Pistons, Rockets, Pacers, Magic, Blazers, Raptors and Wizards all got only 1 televised game. Jazz got 2, Bulls got 4, Hawks, Nets and Timberwolves all got 5. It's all about popularity / LeBron James.
The problem is what happens if CC gets hurt, and you only promote her. I said this is one of the best groups of players coming into the WNBA. I am not comparing CC to Reese. I don't care what I am saying is you got to promote other players so you can have good storylines and people are going to won't to see the other team stats.

Why she got to have a out of body moment she had a decent stat line that's all she needs to do is do what she is good at. I don't recall her playing 40 minutes. Every rookie needs some tightening up to include Clark who thinks defense is the place you go to rest until you get the ball back.

This is one of the best groups of players coming into the WNBA, and they are not creating story lines , so the game can grow. You just can't bleed off of one player and think that going to help your game. What happens if CC gets hurt? Are people going to start turning off the TV. When you look at the games of the past and see what they said, about Dennis Rodman , and how he was known for defense and rebounds this dudes jersey sold out had book deals that flow off the shelves a tv show on MTV and a movie career just getting rebounds and going up against the other teams best player. All of them dudes had a roll it was Jordan Pippin and Rodman. Scoring is only as good as your team defense. Defense wins games. This is just preseason. Let these players grow into their rolls. However, like Rodman, Reese is going to need help in order to win as she's not going to put up insane numbers or make that 3 when it's needed the most. What she'll do is get her team second and third chances to score. However, why I said she's Dennis Rodman to Caitlin Clark's Jordan as Clark will score and she'll take that last shot. She's also got the signature Nike shoe just like Jordan himself. It's a team game and at the end of the day, you need role players and players that's willing to get dirty to help the team win without them being in the spotlight and that's Reese. She's going to get the rebounds, she's going to guard players and if she has a good night, she'll give you some needed points.
