As this is a new technology, there will be many findings. tips and tricks to it, so tell us down below what you have discovered that wasn't covered in the video.
I have small artifacts when I drive my car, depending on the view, but they're slight. On the other hand, my gameplay is even more aggressive. And the FPS look like real FPS in the sense that the fluidity is impeccable. The places where I'm CPU limited, I'm not CPU limited when there are lots of enemies. That's a big plus.
Frankly, it's the best Christmas present for me, as I'm a huge Cyberpunk fan with almost 900 hours of experience.
I'm still convinced that DLSS 3 could have been implemented on other RTXs, but oh well. I work in marketing, I know what I know...
A little update: I changed my screen for a 1440p and tested the mode, and got 60fps in DLSS medium +FG and Path Tracing! It's amazing. I tested it on Alan wake 2 and it's even better. I was going to get a 4070ti to play in 1440p, having already tested it on a 4k screen, but this is great, my 3060ti is going to last for a while yet.
I think all these technologies will one day make frame count a non-issue.
Maybe we'll be comparing GPU graphics differences and not just FPS, as was the case a long time ago.

@@robvera1404 Yes, and it works even better on Alan wake 2! However, you need to type in Nexus mod Alan wake FSR3 mod. Google for a tutorial on how to activate the mod, otherwise it didn't work for me at first. I tested it on tea withcher 3 and it works perfectly. Cyberpunk too, just little artifacts when you drive fast. I tested it on Starfield and it's great too. It's crazy because I've changed my screen for a 1440p 165hz I was thinking of replacing my 3060ti with a 4070ti and in the end I don't need it anymore.
What's more, you can couple the quality of the DLSS with just the frame gen. 👌
@@robvera1404 But for other games you just have to put the two files in the directory where the NVIDIA dlls are, like dlss_ etc.

I dont care that people call this "fake frames" etc. Ive also tried it in Starfield and it makes a big difference as long as your base framerate is at least like 60fps. Feels awesome even

On the keyboard and mouse, it's super-responsive.
I was also worried about FPS drops when you turn around, or too many enemies. Well, not even that!
I used to play in Path Tracing mode 2ray1bounce, now I'm in full overdrive 1080p, going from 35-45 FPS to 65-80 FPS on my 3060ti OC 2.1ghz.
Ha and it solved the problem of the obelisk zone in Phantom Liberty, which was very bottlenecked by a lot of CPUs.
With the frame gen, that's no longer the case, and I get 65fps.
It's really great!
I too find it better than I expected.
I tested it on the forspoken demo and it's amazing that a mod performs better than a native implementation.
And the fact that you can just use Amd's frame gen while keeping the DLSS reconstruction by AI and the Ray reconstruction for Path Tracing makes it all seem as if my 3060ti had magically become an almost 4060ti (with my 1665 at 2100mhz pc I think we're on the same basis...).
yeah it works flawlessly for me. I had around 70-100fps to begin with but with frame gen i get a locked 144fps@@Pixelschillnobrain

Thanks for help. Increased my fps by 50%. I didn't notice any screen tearing or input latency. Just fps boost. Now game is super smooth

frame generation does not work for me please help
I used this on drgaons Dogma 2 dsslr quality on (make shure shadows are on Mid or high, even) And im getting up to a high 70-80fps no lower than 70fps unless very intensive combat like Two trolls drop kicking me and my pawns ass, variable refresh rate on. My specs are rtx 3060 12gb, AmD Ryzen 5 7600f, and 32 gb Ram. Honestly, modders deserve some development appriciation for these tweaks amazing job. 👏
until you try to drive around on 3rd person mode on a bright sun areas and the annoying ghosting issue will appear

As for the frame rate cap, I always use RTSS because it gives 100% perfect frametimes, and it can be adjusted on the fly very quickly.
In 60fps ( so cap to 30 ) I got little stuttering when moving cameras + a lot of latency, in CP 2077. Also when I open the inventory or the map, the framerate drop to 10 or something for 4/5 second before going back to normal. Same when I exit the the inventory/map, the game drop to 10fps for seconds before going back to normal. It make the game unplayable with FG. It definitely work but those issues make the game unplayable for me, unfortunately.
The stuttering is gone if I play in 120hz uncapped, but the framerate drop when oppening/quitting menus is still there and since it's uncapped the frame pacing isn't perfect. So again, no FG is still better for me.
Maybe if someone know what's happening and can help me on that to make it playable with FG, I would appreciate it.

When I turn on HAGS my windows just reset idk why all the save files are gone but after turning off and restarting all the files are back any solution why is this happening?
Frame generation option was still greyed out so I think I need to turn on HAGS.
once i added the two files to cyberpunk, the DLSS part is grayed out, can't enable or disable, it is disabled by default so I can't use anything except fsr 2.1 or XE supersampling 1.1 :-?

I was able to get all of the fps boosts from following the steps in this video, but the ghosting artifacts on the ui elements in the game were too distracting for me, so I had to disable it.

With graphic optimization settings from your video, I can play CP2077 with stable 80fps, so I think I don't really need this. I've already tried it, though. Yes, having more 40-50fps is really sweet with RT on, but for some reason, I can't stand the input latency. I mean, yeah, 'iTs sIngLepLay3R 9Ame, iTs FiNe,' but I just feel lost. I'm capping my fps at 80 anyways, so yeah.
Maybe a couple more updates could make it way better, but it's actually quite good for improving your smoother experience in Night City if you cant hit atleast 60fps.

i just started using the mod but i used rivatuner to cap the fps and my input latency feels the same without the mod... the frametime without the mod was 6-10ms but with mod it's the same just almost 9-10 most of the time

Saving my RTX 3080 at 2k resolution with Path Tracing Enable, it's boosting from 40-45 FPS to 80-90 FPS, and i don't see any screen tearing and input latency too much, it's very smoother, but some scene frame interpolate can be guess and input wrong frame position, so it'll flicker the object
you mean 1440P, the term "2K" is a long established cinema spec that refers to several 1080P formats. Mathematically 1440P is 2.667K.

Unreal mod, loving it. However when i activate Vsync in control panel my intro video is like fps and menu takes forever to load. still getting 90fps in 4K ultra RTX and settings high with DLSS balanced is unnatural

I play Cyberpunk with path tracing 2ray 1bounce 1080p rtx3060ti* dlss quality texture medium and oc at 2100mhz i usualy had 35-45fps but then with path tracing 2r2b and dlss quality+framegen i have 65-80fps (more offen 80) its incredible. Nvidia RTX40 can be wait i wait for the rtx50 now 😅

I test the latency too. 24ms whithout Frame Gen and 13ms with Frame gen on. Good 👍
My 3070 FE doesnt get more than 60fps at 1440p RT Ultra dlls balanced and FG. And with FG on the latency is horrible so it might aswell run at 24 fps and everything looks blurry.
@@alex_inside it depend on the aeras but i never had less than 55fps when i drive fast or in the begining of Phantom liberty its pretty heavy and i am in RTpsycho with Ray reconstruction now because the performance are better.
In Path Tracing if i let thé crowd in high the impact is bigger. In medium low the performance of Path Tracing IS ok 60fps.
But in high it dépend of the aeras so i prefer RTpsycho its already path Tracing like and thé crowd density had a low impact in this case
@@alex_inside in Alan Wake2 i use path Tracing in the city because the forest had too geometry for Path Tracing.
But your performance are little bit werid. What is your CPU? Do you monitoring the GPU. If you overheat maybe thé fresuency are lower than usual (it was thé case to me and i change thé thermal past).
I test the latency i have 20ms whithout Frame gen and 13ms with Frame gen on.

But clearly no i dont the feeling of a 24fps.
But when i record with the mod i lost some FPS too (5-10)
I did everything like in the video and it doesn't work on my RTX 3070
on MY rtx 3070 its working. Check your game version, check if you put files in the right place. Check if your 3070 is not fake :D

It only works good if base frame rate is 50 to 60+

I was planning to cover it but I decided not to since there were already a lot of established videos that do a great job showcasing the difference.

Capping framerate in RTSS increases input latency for me😢. Without capping makes it more responsive. Idk why..
It depends on the game, I guess RTSS needs an update for better compatibility when using frame generation.
@@ZykopathOfficial I also tried it on Cyberpunk 2077. The response time was ridiculously bad. I suggest uncapped the framerate if anyone experience too much input lag and see if it fixes the lag.

@@muhammadammarrasyid5780 You're correct. I can confirm this using Nvidia latency indicator. When using afterburner limiter, I get 150ms input lag if FG mod is enabled. With Nvidia control panel limiter it's only 50ms. In game limiters vary a lot so Nvidia limiter is the safest option.

I followed the exact steps you did, but frame gen is still grayed out in cyberpunk. I'm on an rtx 3060 with an i7-7700k.
EDIT: Nevermind, I keep forgetting the root folder with the .exe file is not in the traditional spot that steam games usually put it

for me it actually stutters with RTSS FPS limiter. Weird
Dont use RTSS. Use Nvidia control panel to set fps limit.

Same for me, unless I play uncapped in 120hz but then the frame pacing is not that good. When I cap the framerate to 60 ( so 30 ) I got a lot of latency + little stutter when moving cameras. It's annoying af because without FG my framerate isn't 60 stable.
I tried and I couldn’t stand the ugly artifacts frame gen creates. Especially with any text or transparency. Then the ghosting from blurry fake frames. Drives me nuts.

I am 2060 and my button is also greyed out. What am I doing wrong. I have turend on Hardware Accelerated Scheduling and also latest driver.

You can always try, here's a hint, try at different refresh rates or vsync rates.

It's how it works, less utilization when fps is capped.

From what I gather, this mod can also work with The Last of Us and Red Dead Redemption 2, but in order to do so, another mod is required. Does any one know what the other mod is? Nukem9 is also supposed to work with the new Robocop game, yet no matter where I put the 2 files (nvngx.dll and dlssg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll) in the Robocop directory, the frame generation option always greyed out.
Would be awesome Bruni think it’s a bit more complicated because both those don’t support frame gen to begin with. A game needs DLSS and Frame Gen support as base I believe
This is not with DLSS though, it's DLAA. Funny thing is that some people actually bullshitting me by saying some freaking 🤍🤍🤍🤍ed in the comments while in fact I am being honest with them that I can't enable the DLSS with FG simultaneously. Even if it can but DLSS don't give any boost at all which means it's not working with FG but hey people not gonna believe. I mean who on Earth wants to use DLAA only?
I tried it and it works with both DLAA and DLSS, it's sounds like an issue on your end, hope you can fix it soon.
