I had the same experience with the Laura Mercier foundation. The formula is so hard to describe but you nailed it when you said it's great for those with dry skin who don't want to glow to the moon. It's so natural and lightweight, but with decent coverage and no fragrance. It's a win for me, and I don't say that often! Great review Tara 🌸
Just a tip for super dry skin ladies: The LM hydrating primer helped it glide better over my Tretinoin patches. Your recommendations about how it is it best applied (not to layer it too much, work quickly, push it in, use a brush, etc) were true for me as well. I appreciate how you work with foundations before reviewing so you can give us tips how it works best 💕

I’m lovingggg the laura liquid bronzers! No idea why it’s getting a bad wrap haha. Used it on over 10 clients so far and on myself with 0 issues 😂 I feel like from seeing reviews (not necessarily yours at all) but people are using way too little of the product and expecting it to go a long way, but it’s super sheer so goes patchy dragging so little product around. I really work a decent amount into my brush and then stipple and that’s worked perfectly for me 🤞🏼
What color would you recommend on a Mac nc25 neutral with golden undertones? Is this easier than a cream bronzer in a compact like tower one? Thanks
@@MyMaria1224 I would do 03 Sunbeam! The tower28 bronzino I guess would be easier as it never sets down so you can blend/ add/ buff away till your hearts content. Whereas this does have a dry down so you have to be a little more careful. But in saying that, the dry down also means it is going to last a hell of a lot longer on the skin and won’t be as sticky as the tower28 is. Hope this helps!

Hey Tara! The Refy product is a liner and setter( per Sephora) supposed to seal in liner to make it last all day!
I just picked up the LM foundation and I’m struggling to find my shade, as per usual. I need pinker shades and the shade jump from 3 to 4 is drastic, it’s medium to super deep orange so 4 is out even as a mixer. I truly wish brands would just come out with one pinker tone in each shade for us pinker toned ladies. Most cool shades go straight orange but you don’t want to look like you’re wearing a mask. I don’t always need to cancel out the pink - it’s my skin tone of my entire body! That being said, I got 3C1 and haven’t used it yet but I think it will be too light. I enjoyed the application of this foundation but the wear was iffy because the shade was so off. I will definitely continue using it but I love the coverage and I love how lightweight it is.
I have dry skin and the LM foundation looked and wore well, however I found the coverage to be super light unless I used about 6 pumps of it. I returned it bc at that rate I would use it up way too quickly for the price.

Hi Tara. Great to see you back. The refi lip stuff makes anything you put under it completely transfer proof. Try it out. I don’t believe it’s a moisturizer for the lips. I still think it feels strange and kind of drying to me. Thanks for all you do for us. Have a great day and I hope your feeling better
Loving the Laura Mercier foundation, that bronzer not so much lol it dries down too fast. Best way I have found to work is on the back of the hand like you did but gotta worn fast. I’ve been using the Bi beauty 111 brush and that has worked, if it starts to dry then o spray the back of my hand with setting spray and dip the brush a bit to get it damp and continue blending but it’s truly annoying that I have to do what I do to make it work lol been loving the PM palette and liquid shadow, didn’t try the Kosas and so glad I didn’t lol and that Refy beauty lip sculpt is my absolute fave 🤩

I'm pretty sure with that Refy lip liner that clear stuff is meant to be used as a seal for the liner. When it first came out that is what everyone was saying. That you put the liner on and then seal it with the clear stuff and it won't budge. I think it's silly but that is what everyone was reviewing it as.

Ahh, thank you. I'm still trying to grow them out, it's definitely a process. Haha. The cool baby pink Blush, I have to admit, I was never attracted to the color, I bought it because of the hype and was surprised at how amazing it really is. 😄 You were definitely on trend before it was ever a trend. 👏👏 Now tons of brands are coming out with that shade🤣
Right all of us who know make up have worn baby pink blush….it’s the color our cheeks naturally flush and is why I have always choose shades of pink…. People do not flush orange, plum, peach and so on hehe

I'm tempted with the LM foundation, it seems to be a good choice for my dry skin. Is it comparable to any other foundations - I'm only asking because I have over 80 foundations and if I already own a similar formula I'll pass on buying it.

Regarding the liquid eyeshadow- if it’s drying too fast you can use an eyeshadow base first but note using a base before the liquid eyeshadow was change wear time
What foundation is this similar to in performance/look/feel? The Chanel No 1?
Thats a great question. I would say the Nars Light Reflecting Foundation, Armani Luminious Silk Foundation, and this new one from Laura Mercier is pretty similar in the way it wears. Those are the 3 I can think of on the top of my head. 😁❤️ But, I'm sure they're a ton more on the list. The Chanel Foundation gives great coverage, dries and sets down, but also looks really natural. My only complaint with that Foundation is the shade range. I wear BD51 in Chanel, and they don't have it in the No 1 formula. The regular B (Beige) shades are way too grey on me. Doesn't look natural at all. So, I mix BD41 & BD91 (which is a hard shade to create to begin with lol. It's 2 parts BD41 & 1 part BD91. Because of the hassle with it. I don't wear it much🤷♀️

Tara, which one do you suggest between the Dior blush and the Too Faced one, considering that they're both nearly the same shade?
I would choose based on if you like a glow. The Dior has a little glow to it, and the Too Faced is more matte and smoothing on the skin. Hope that helps🙏
I am so glad you are feeling better. I have a question, when you apply self tanner on your face, do you just skip your exfoliating at night? I always get so confused, because when I apply self tanner, then the next night when I am washing my face I exfoliate every night so I feel like I am defeating the purpose. So do you just skip the exfoliation part??? I know I am probably making this more difficult than it is🤣🤣🤣thank you !!!

Elf has some great little eye strips especially made for eyeshadow. You should try them! I'm gonna pick up the LM foundation. It's so pretty!
elf doesn’t make those anymore, they were discontinued, I was so bummed cause I used them all the time.

I think it's similar to the new loreal true match. I find them both way too light of coverage.
How do you wash your makeup off without taking your lashify lashes off ?
I use Elemis cleansing Balm, and work it into my face, and carefully around my eyes. Wipe with my makeup eraser wash cloth. Then cleanse again with regular cleanse, but I just clean around my eyes, using the makeup wash cloth wrapped around my finger😁 I use another rag to rinse with. With Lashify, you should wait to get the lashes wet for 24 hrs. But, after that, I can rinse water over my face without disrupting the lashes😁 Hope that helps❤️

The martini lashes… I was so excited I bought multiple pairs.. unfortunately they are so very long they look ridiculous on me. I had much better luck with their full strip called dayclub
