I'm sorry to see the old grandstand go.
What I don't understand, is the club redesigned the oval just a few years ago to make it the size of Docklands, now they want to make it bigger?
And make it bigger at the expense of that beautiful old Grandstand.

Could this mean that Richmond could theoretically play a few home games at punt road??

Wouldn't think so.. 8000 is a bit small for a AFL stadium.

@@RichmondBrotherhood We could play Tasmania when they join the competition... 😉

@@RichmondBrotherhood that's true but I was thinking maybe a low key game could be played there and maybe seats were set up on the grass areas, also I was imagining maybe in 20 years it becomes a big stadium and their new home ground

No. Don't demolish the old stand.

It's a shame - but it's not an architectural wonder and as noted, it's in the wrong place. It's gotta go.

It's never been the same since they put the new roof on and removed the tiger head that was on it.

Ban live exports, wasting taxpayer's money, you sound a bit self righteous. I'm guessing you're vegan as well. You can put your head on your pillow at night and believe your better than most people. Must be converting. You will never come close to the man Brendon Gail is no matter how long you live.
