Wow what a brilliant but very sombre and moving video Paul.
I think that your story you told did the men justice and with the image's that you took with the mist complemented that.
    Once again great video.

When I saw the notification for this vid I thought.....this should be interesting - Then, wow - what an emotional ride. I was bowled over by your genuine spontaneous emotion when you reached the wreckage. I felt your emotions through my monitor and I watched in silence as you took us through the site explaining the details about the plane and crew. I don't think anyone could have done this any better than you did....wonderfully moving, educational and of course some great photos. Big thanks for this Paul, it will stay with me for a long time

Incredible vlog full of all kinds of emotion. Really shows the rewards you could encounter if you feel the fear and do it anyway. Amazing photography.

A very respectful and well put together vlog Paul and in a strange way synonymous with your home town where of course you have the Airman's Grave site close to the river where an American airman 1st Lieutenant Arthur L. Brown lost his life in the second world war as he struggled to bring his stricken Thunderbolt plane away from the town and in doing so avoided causing the deaths of who knows how many people, not to mention the damage it would have done. 📷👏🥇

A great tribute to those lost airmen, I'm sure some relatives would love some of your photos. The drone images were very evocative of what it must have been when the plane came down.

Hi Paul I've been watching the vlog still not finished it to be honest this is one of the reasons I tend not to go out on my own the fear of getting lost stops me in my tracks ..
Then the crash site loomed large in my Telly it's a very somber sight the small area where the crosses and the stones are really brings everything into sharp focus what an excellent vlog thank you for putting yourself out there other words fail me all the very best Mike.

What a poignant video and photos. It should remind all of us of the sacrifices that that generation made to preserve the freedoms that we enjoy today. It must have been quite emotional taking those images and thinking about what they represent. Kudos Paul on creating such a respectful vlog.

Such a somber feeling watching this Paul, you did the place justice, not only with your images but by not doing what many have done and took away something with you. No one, unless members of the deceased family should take anything away from that area, not even a flower that lives and dies itself in that same place.
I’ve never been up there but very close to it, that was years ago though, over 30 years actually and at the time I was there with the Air Training Corp trading for our DofE Award which unfortunately I never got to finish, just the wrong time in my life health wise.
Very fitting weather too, makes you wonder if it ever changed there which of course it does but I think that’s how I’d like it to be if/when I go, even though it makes it harder to get to, which i think is only right in some way

It's an amazingly atmospheric place. I first visited it 40 years ago. It was in the middle of a very bad snow storm so much of what you see was covered but I was struck by the immense size of the site. Thank you for your respect of the wreckage and those that lost their lives. It's sad to see that so many pieces have been removed over the years I've known the site especially as it's an offence to disturb or remove anything from there. Many thanks for your video Paul.

Can't really say how great a video it is considering the subject matter, it really is an incredibly emotional place. It's great to see that it hasn't changed very much since the last time I was there, which is over 20 years ago. for more information, check out the books "Dark Peak Aircraft Wrecks" (assuming they're still available)
I believe this was one of the very last training missions the crew did, before they were due to fly home after the war.

A great vlog Paul done very respectfully, and a wonderful dignified tribute to all that perished in that awful disaster. The images were top draw in those conditions which certainly added to the memory you were conveying and that the crash happened in very similar conditions 👍

Very atmospheric. American bomber crews were the bravest of the brave. Their percentage losses were appalling.
Lets have a more cheerful one next time. Its all getting a bit morbid.
