Be what I wanna be (Be what I wanna be)
If I work hard at it (If I work hard at it)
I'll be where I wanna be (I'll be where I wanna be)

As I recall, Nas wrote this song at the request of his Mother, who had asked that he release an inspirational song for children before she passed away. This was him fulfilling his promise to do so.
For someone who writes such deep raps with integral stories, it shows the man's talent that he can compose something so simple yet meaningful.

Remember when rappers used to tell stories and not just rap about how much they have
Pretty much what I said in another convo What people view and choose to consume as media will always reflect what's coming next.
If you do really appreciate rap with intelligent lyrics and you are truly tired of those with small to no content in their chants simply stop consuming their product. They will collapse of their own.
And that doesn't go only for music. It goes for all. Money is power, use your power (give power) sparingly and only to those you truly feel deserve it. Because they will use it the way THEY see fit. And when it comes to music, well Migos will produce more Migos album with more money/views people give him....

It depends on what mood you want to feel while listening. This song is very motivational and hype, the lyrics are very well put together as well. I think that some songs have poor meanings for children, but at the end of the day if it is catchy the lyrics don’t matter to me as much.
