- Rikki is lucky to be alive after getting attacked by a dog. A near death experience wasn't enough to take away his spunky personality. He sure put up a good fight with that dryer. We will let him think he won that battle! #ferret #ferrets #funnyferret #ferretcare #ferretbath

Your joke at the beginning about the strangest dog you've ever seen made me think about a story an old roommate told me once. When she was a child back in the seventies, they had some goats. They needed to take a nanny goat to the vet and put her in the car's back seat while the kids piled in next to mom in the front seat. Needing gas, mom stopped at a gas station. This being the days of full-service stations, an attendant pumped the gas sneaking the occasional look at the goat in the back seat. At the end of the transaction, the attendant, no longer able to contain himself, blurted out, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but that is the ugliest dog I have ever seen!"😄
Thank you for sharing…. Literally made me laugh out loud. Lol that’s hilarious.
We stick sheep in the back of our van a few times too.
Edit for spelling
I thought he was a slinkydoodle.
Many years ago I had a ferret with the same name. Rikki and my cats got along because they were raised together. The epic chases up and down the hall tired them all out and they ended up all together wrapped in a blanket for nap time.
Aww 🥰🥰🥰
Too cute I love it
so cute playing with the towels
I could watch that for hours lol it’s so cute. He makes the cutest noises when he does it but the camera didn’t pick them up.
@@salaspawspa ohh 🥰❤️❤️
i love seeing different kinds of animals getting pampered lol it’s so cute ;^;
You take care of the animals very kindly and affectionately. It is calming to watch, it makes me happy.
Ricky is the best! 🤩
I agree 🥰
We bathe masked sabel female every three to four months because she rarely sinks or gets dirty (use Marshalls tea tree shampoo on her and follow with a bit of my own conditioner).
Our massively huge albino male gets one every three months because he accidently gets pee-belly and he gets stinky easy and his fur turns yellow from the oils in his skin (I use Biosilk shampoo and conditioner for pets with white fur on him).
Our newest tiny little girl hasn't needed a bath yet and we've had her 4 months. So don't know what I'll be using on her yet.
We litter trained out ferrets (we also have rescued 3 legged mink and a rescued deaf and half blind least weasel) we sectioned off the house on top of litter training and don't cage. It actually makes a HUGE difference in scent.
They also travel and camp with us.
Baths do not make ferrets stink less, they make them more oily quicker. A bath only a couple times a year is necessary just like said in the video. I only use the oatmeal method to be sure 😁
He's a cute little guy.
I'm glad he's a tough little guy, too.
Poor baby 😭 i hope the owner is a lot more cautious about leaving their ferret out
. I'm glad rikki is ok now..
nothing a few .50 cal rounds cant fix
I suspect Rikki wasn’t alone in the yard which was why they got to him so quickly.
Thank you for sharing good information about grooming and hygiene care for coat, skin, and nail care for ferrets. This is refreshing.
Omg I'm in love 😍😍 Ricky is so cute !!
He is !! 🥰
Dog 💀🪦.... I adore ferrets.
Ricky was a stinky little mutt, er.... ferret before you got hold of him! Poor little thing though, having to be attacked by that unsafe to be outside of a fence hunting dog!
😁
Bless him I'm glad he's OK he's adorable. Thanks for this video xxxx
SQUISH THE NOODLE
Oh I love my Ferrin. Great vid, I hope I can find someone within 100 miles of me to help groom my two lil floofs. Rural Alaska…and I have rabbits too but never the Twain shall meet!
As a ferret owner, I would strongly recommend trimming ferret nails every 1-2 weeks, depending on how fast they grow. We used to trim ours every other week but our champagne still managed to get caught on a blanket and tore a whole nail off. :(( She was fine, thankfully, but we learned our lesson and trim every week now!
oh poor Ricky! But what an adorable noodle
What a cute carpet noodle!
Cute ferret!
🙂
So precious. Breanna you really have a gift. 💖
Thank you 🥰🥰🥰
Such a great video! I love your commentary! This was so cute. 😃🥰
Thank you so much 😁
If anyone didn't know, ferrets are like dogs in the fact that there are ones that love the water those who hate it. Although, dogs are more prone to get water-induced ear issues, due to water getting trapped in their ears while swimming, than ferrets. That is because ferrets can close their ears when they go under water.
How do I know this? Well, I have never had ferrets but I watch way to many videos and documentaries about them.
My brother wants a ferret because he says they are funny. He doesn't know they smell.
The 5 I had loved water.
I love his name! What a strong guy. ❤
Oh poor angel I'm crying
Of course the floof noodle needs to be wrung out like a dish towel to get him dry
This video makes me want a ferret so bad!! But I have 2 cats already and idk if cats and ferrets get along??
Ferrets are pretty friendly and get along with cats and dogs most of the time. It’d depend on how friendly your cats are.
No. No no no! Ferrets should NEVER be near any other animal. Ever! They are carnivores to anything smaller and victims to anything larger. Do your research, and never get just one and always keep them INSIDE. Theres so much more I can't say in a comment so, please.
Thanks for the story I watch over mine like a hawk when outside. Thanks for posting about your opinion on bathing you are on point
LabriNoodle
OMG you truly have the best job ever ❤️
100% agree
My sister has a ferret like that
He is such a cute little fur noodle. I would love to get a ferret but I doubt my cats would be ok with it.
What a cutie! I’m glad he was okay. Rikki’s run in with the neighbor’s dog reminded me of something that happened to an Irish setter whose littles I used to babysit. Their neighbor happened to my little sister’s best friend and her parents were keeping her adult brother’s German Shepherd because he was in an apartment.
One day when Clancy was in the fenced yard with his littles, Cassius jumped jumped their shared chain link (4ft something?) fence and attacked him. Clancy was really badly mauled. PJ’s parents ended up footing the whole vet bill and I’m pretty sure they made their son cough it up to repay them. I sincerely hope that Rikki’s neighbor was made to pay for the emergency vet too. It doesn’t matter that Rikki is a ferret because he was with his person in his own yard.
Nice. I never knew much about ferrets. Is it yours?
I mean, I agree that Ferrets look kinda cute.
But why would anyone want one in their home given their smell?
Are these people who fart a lot and when they get visitors, they can blame the smell on the ferret?
😂😂 some smell more than others so as long as you keep their litter box and cage cleaned its not as bad as you might think.
not all of us mind the smell
you have to be gentle getting the water out and not squish him!!!!!!!!!!!!
