Weatherstrip install on 57 Chevy door

    Found this out today put on new cheap weatherstripping and the new doors shut fantastically. I knew that was to good to be true. Looked between the gaps and could tell there was no sealing going on. Took them all back off flipped them around. Seals up tight now but gotta shut her hard. Adjusted the strikers out but still a little stiff oh well ya get what ya pay for. No water getting in for sure tho lol!

      Yup... keep them closed up. In about a month or 2 they will relax and latch easier

      also...i failed to mention..but its equally important to rub the glue surface of the actual rubber with acetone or a suitable cleaner. i was told that new rubber has a mould release agent used on it when made...and there is possibility of a residue still on it even when new... i believe that to be true. otherwise the glue won't adhere to it completely
