Hello, dear viewers! During the next few weeks, I plan to post some “CZcams Shorts” to try a different format. Of course, during that time, I will still be working hard on the next video about the USSR. See you soon!
Ok thanks a lot for working so hard for us and releasing these videos for free!
Ty that would be nice to know xd
Interesting video ideas
Please make a video about Brazil's history
But you didn't show when and how did the USA aquire Hawaii, Western Samoa (aka American Samoa)...
Fun fact! Liechtenstein was offered Alaska by russia for a cheaper price then America.
Imagine a Liechtensteinian alaska lol
Wait what 😳
No way LMAO. Would be an interesting scenario but considering how small Liechtenstein is, it's kinda hard to maintain. No to mention that they're landlocked, in the middle of the Alps.
0:30 well the Americans keep coming and they don't stop coming
hopped in their wagons are they hit the ground running
@@TrebleClefDan It didn't make sense to keep sharing Oregon
@@isslef883 when they outnumbered the Brits more than six to one
I smell an oversimplified reference in this thread
But the americans keep coming and they don't stop coming

This beat: listen to this
where can i find this beat?
Yeah
When you commit lebensraum but you call it manifest destiny instead.
There has tons over 100 million german today in america either they from HRE era to even today donald trump is having german blood, no wonder German in europe wanted to do what their brother at america
_”Disregarding the treaty… secret plans for lebensraum…”_
Yeah, lebensraum, or its real terminology, organic theory was very popular among a large variety of countries
There’s a bit of a difference from a Holocaust from dislocation of natives
@@diamondkonk1196 An entire group of people got wiped away in both case.
Very entertaining and educational!
So glad and happy that America expanded the exact way it did. If you do not like it you can move to Canada or Europe.
Feels bad Mexico
When it comes to territorial expansion, USA go brrrrrrrrrrrr 😨
america: W E S T W A R D
They grow up so fast 😍

I still like your full video version
¿Can you do Spanish version of this short? Please
United States was like o.k. free land it's now ours to take. Hmmmm, let's try this with Mexico, look free land, ours to take. United States again hmmmm, now let's try this with Alaska, look free land, and ours to take. United States hasn't lost this game yet.
And just so everyone understands, do United States could’ve kept all of Mexico after the Mexican American war!! They gave Mexico back and bought New Mexico, Arizona and California!!! Texas was already separate from Mexico because they made their own independence and at one time where their own country!! The people of Texas decided to become part of the United States!! So, I don’t wanna hear anyone say that the United States took the states. They gave them back to Mexico and then paid for them!! To be honest, now that hindsight is 20/20, The United States should’ve kept all of Mexico and divided it into states!! To this day, all of the Mexican people would’ve been Americans and would have had a better life!! Mexico only has rich and poor. There is no middle class! One of the richest men in the world is a Mexican landowner‼️🇺🇸👌👍⚖️✝️✡️
That is cool
Sir plzzz make some video on japan history just russia (you had made)
Bro what’s this beat I love it
You forgot the destroyers for bases agreement that the us gained some land from
great video, but you missed the war of 1812 where the british repeled an america invasion then took back its previous coastal colony's, before giving them back under certain condition.
The story of the British Empire was very similar to her mother, Roman Empire.
When Rome fell, she gave birth to countless powerful kingdoms and a strong successor, Eastern Rome (Byzantine Empire)
When the British Empire fell, she gave birth to strong-economic countries (Canada, Australia, India, NZ) and a strong successor, the US.
@@GeorgeWashingtonLaserMusket
60% of English words came from Latin. Roman culture, laws, and many more manifested to Britain and even Britain came from Britannia via Brythons from Celtic.
Also, Unitedstateans loves taking credits. US doesn't invent, they enhance the tech.
the byzantine empire was a direct continuation of the roman empire. the name is mostly due to the HRE’s contention of the title. so not really
It looks like an empire to me.
this makes me so hype WE FUCKING GOT IT ALL!
US: *purchases most of its territory, even paying Mexico for the cession despite defeating them in a war*
"Activists": AmErIcA iS a ThIeF!!!1
Mexico didn’t want to sell territory, US forced them, US used the force to take those territories, but after the treat between those countries US keep the territory but has to pay Mexico for it
America is a continent, not a country
i like the fact that you zoomed out at the end... like its a glimpse into the future
We’re all living in America
U forgot the pig war
THE PIG WAR ISN'T A TERRITORY, otherwise it would be called pigland, or new york

What about san juan island
How could you forget that

I thought Cuba was also part of America after the spanish American war
Why does Louisiana colored yellow if its a former french territory? Or im just thinking of something else.
In the early 1700s, the French ceded Louisiana to Spain. It was until Napoleon's rise to power that France reacquired the territory and sold it to the US.
Manifest destiny

What was the whole border change with Mexico in 1821 about I’ve tried to search up if there was an agreement between the US and Mexico and so far I haven’t found anything can any American historians help me out
There is a treaty that ceded 55% of Mexico's territory to the United States after the Mexican-American war. It's called the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
@@insertcreativenamehere5473 I’m talking about before the war
@@Cody-ps3wy oh ok, I see what you mean
It was the Adams-Onís treaty - originally signed with Spain in 1819 that traded Florida to the US in exchange for redrawing the western border with the US, after Mexican independence this was still the de facto border. Mexico and the US did agree on the treaty of limits in 1828, which just confirmed that it was still the border between them

Us now: we love peace
Also us at past: CONQUER! CONQUER! CONQUER! MANIFEST DESTINY
Who loves peace lol. They've started lots of wars for "democracy" and oil
@@pasdpasse439 Spoken like a generic uneducated "activisit", learn your history then come back.
You think we were all about conquering? We weren't the ones who once owned a quarter of the world's land mass at once. There's nothing wrong with our borders.
@@kidfox3971 lol
@@kidfox3971 spotted the Nazi. My history, unlike yours, is not filled with genocide, territorial conquers.
Im glad because of the shorts i didnt need to wait long
Washington state was not a state until 1889
Why didn't U.S take Mexico
Simply put, they could have pushed farther but they didnt wanna let too many new territorys become slave states
Its more complicated but i tried
They actually were going to take much more of Mexico, but the ambassador they sent to negotiate the peace terms was sympathetic to the Mexicans, so he pushed for much less territory.
I like how we took over Texas..😉
The Republic of Texas willing joined the United States after a decade of independence.

"Americans" are all people who live in the American continent, not just in the

Not English, besides I never hear anyone refer to themselves by their continent over country. It's just a weird chip Latin Americans have.

Why the cringe beat?
Poor First Nations:(
Why? They were doing to each other what we did to them long before we showed. We were just better at it.

It's not done yet 🇺🇲
Mate, no one cares your opinion
You could put Civil War as a loss, then regain of territory… Only because other colonial states that failed this test could have had the same expansion, but instead fractured into many countries, like Colombia

Props to the cameraman for recording this
?
Yeah right he needed to be 200 years in a plane recording this territorial evolution

why do superpowers rapidly expand we had the uk ottoman empire usa rome ussr now china and many many others
What?
Thats what makes them superpowers
For influence, power, resources.
US is merely the contiuation of the British Empire like how the Greeks succeded Rome.
We are still living under British influence in a form of the US.
After independence the USA had very little competition to reach the West Coast… The biggest threat to their sovereignty was themselves, in the Civil War, and that was it
