Calum's audition was on another level from how he looked over at his sister to check in on her in the middle of his performance, to the mothers pride in her son, to him showing his appreciation to Simon by running down to shake his hand and to say thank you, it was all around great.

Calum's voice was PERFECT, but He was ALSO fresh up after His sister got X's and was taken off stage.. HE was feeling all of that and put it into His rendition.. His subsequent Video of the same song, in MY opinion, didn't rise to the same level as His audition..
He is now one of my favorite singers; honestly, his voice is incredible and so moving.
Donchez was by far my favorite. He brought so much joy to the judges. I've never seen the crew,the MC's,AND the judges get up and dance like that. It was amazing.

That anti-bullying song hit me so hard; I've been bullied since elementary school, and I'm in college now. My experiences have made me want to fight to end bullying; watching my little brother get bullied broke my heart, as did that song. It was so heartfelt, and I want to wrap those kids in a protective hug and never let anyone hurt them again. The talent on this show is absolutely incredible.

I know I’m watching and commenting on this late but the lady who was basically 80 doing all of those dance moves? Incredibly impressive. Unbelievably amazing. I used to practice different lifts with my friend (he was into ballroom and country swing and I was like 100 lbs., so I was often his stand in to practice his lifts). We would do lift after lift after lift to try to get it down to perfection. I think one of the lifts used in this dance is a guitar lift, and it’s incredibly difficult. And she (and her partner) freaking nail it! It was always the move that I had the hardest time with. Because, although I trust my partner, we both have to be on time to the millisecond because I’m basically falling from 6’ish and spinning and counting on him to catch me.
Her face might be 80 but clearly no one has told her legs 😂

I know that I will be shamed and ridiculed for saying this….but I have to say it as someone who has been a theatrical actor in about a dozen or so musicals and straight plays over the years…
The young girl who performed a rendition of “Defying Gravity” was obviously incredibly talented. Incredibly talented. That said, knowing as I do how cutthroat and bizarre theatre can be, it seemed obvious to me that this young girl was REPEATEDLY and VIGOROUSLY coached into being able to execute the vocal performance of “Defying Gravity” in a very methodical and specific way.
The way she held her posture, her mannerisms during the performance, her breath control, and other tells she used were all, to me, evidence of what had to have been a rigorously methodical coaching technique by which she was made to get that one specific performance down to a perfected science.
Based solely on my gut instinct, when the cameras cut to the girl’s father during the beginning off the performance, I was 1000% certain that he was the one who sought out and potentially helped administer this coaching technique in a highly calculated effort to gain fame and fortune for his daughter using Britain’s Got Talent as a stepping stone. Worst part is that it was the desperately hungry look on the father’s face that made me certain.
You may think I’m insane, but I guarantee that girl has had professional coaching and almost certainly ONLY professional coaching when it comes to a vocal performance of “Defying Gravity”.
Now I know it’s probably all fully accepted and allowed that some professional-esque performers will make their way onto the show. But to me, the girl’s entire performance was contrived and forced, and robotic. And considering the high level of talent and execution that was on display, it should’ve been damn near impossible for the performance to seem so contrived and forced at the same time.
Anyway that’s my thought on that.

Wow! What's the point of your comment? So what if she was coached and trained "rigorously" by professionals! The talent is the singing voice and has to come naturally. No amount of training and coaching would result in the amazing and unequivocal talent this young girl was able to demonstrate! On top of this, she did it in front of thousands of people and was able to control the nervous energy that a setting such as this induces. Shame on you for your negative and envious words! These types of harsh and irrelevant criticisms result in many serious self esteem and mental health crisis's for anyone, most especially adolescents. You should apologize. I'm disgusted by this comment, 100000000 percent!
