I don‘t know why the rest of the ladies acted like they can do whatever they wanna do on a first date😂 think about it when you go to a job interview you know how to „behave“ and what to say/ not to say. dating is supposed to be fun and genuine, not like a job interview lol. people who show up to a date with the intention of hiding parts of their true self so someone can like them is the most counterintuitive thing I've heard.

It really doesn‘t cost your happiness if you be careful at first and be ladylike. Nothing wrong with that. Nobody said you should change for the rest of your life. Dang is it really that hard. We‘re talking about a FIRST DATE. Eventually when you get to know each other you gonna find more things about each other. That‘s why I compared it with a job interview. You make sure you look put together, act accordingly and adapt to get the job. If y‘all wanna be single and go from date to date go ahead but maybe consider another strategy. Just sayin‘!

I think that sometimes, not being being Completely yourself, shows that you care enough about someone to want to make a good impression. Also, without knowing someone completely, sloppy eating can indicate that you are generally careless and sloppy overall, to the person trying to get to know you.
It may not be the case, but that's the message you sent by being too much of "yourself" too quickly.
This was one of the times I feel like they were being a little bit fake. "if he can't accept how I eat, then he's not the one," oh please. It's just things you don't do as soon as you meet somebody. You wouldn't belch or fart in front of a man on the first date because you would care about how it makes you look. It's no different with food for real. I'm not ordering anything where I have to eat with my hands or that requires me to lick and suck on my fingers.
I think it honestly depends on the person. I have never thought in my life to hold back on what I am eating on a first date. I just get whatever my heart and tummy desires. You can still eat ribs & wings and still not be a slob lol.
If a man doesn’t like it (which they never have disliked it at least to me) than that’s cool, he ain’t the one for me. Move on to the next ❤
