I have watched this movie maybe 20 times now-never get tired of it. Brilliant. But I didn't realise just how important Roy Budd;s score was...until now. This guy was a genius. His music captures the menace of the movie....the feel of the late 60s/early 70s...the grittiness of Newcastle Upon Tyne in those days. What a shame he died so young.
A great classic tune from this cult british polar, a great musical and cinematographic period from the 70's with Don Ellis, Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones, David Shire, etc. I really love it !
I usually hate these remixes because you can hear the disparity between the original and what has been added. This works really well, nice syncopation a bit like Joe Morello. Nice!

Peanut Vendor It sounds to me like someone has overdubbed a drum track, simply by playing live along to the original recording through headphones.
I think it was a recent overdub, Miles also did a similar drum mix for Serge Gainsbourg - Psychastenie (Miles' Drum Edit) which is just a great

Good work, but I think the drums make it too busy. The original is a little sparse and desperate which sets up the film perfectly.
