(btw it gets baddd, but i found out that if you let it rest for a while you can use it for a couple secs to mins. and restarting ur phone is a terrible i idea bc i couldnt use my faceID and it kept typing the wrong password multiple times so i literally had to wait for a full hour. pain.)

Try a hard reset not just off and on. Also try pressing firmly on the screen. There are tons of videos showing how to do this.
