This Boho Chic Vermont Wedding is a Must Watch (They Had a Horse!) // Hilary + Clay

Hilary + Clay had the dreamiest boho chic wedding this past fall in Stowe, Vermont at Edson Hill. Truly one of our favorite wedding venues to DATE as it’s the perfect setting to spend a wedding weekend with the people you love.

Nestled perfectly into the green mountains, the property is home to quaint little cabins where their loved ones were able to stay close by on site, a pond for everyone to go swimming in, and even a pasture and stables for our bride’s horse, Coco, to call home for the weekend.

The team of @alwaysyoursevents + @nectarandroot brought our couples dreams to life mixing beautiful earth toned floral arrangements, a VW photo bus, a stunning sailcloth tent, + even designing a floral wreath for Hilary’s horse to wear while roaming in the pastures as guests arrived. Hilary’s sister actually surprised her with by having her horse shipped all the way up from Virginia for the weekend - maid of honor/ sisters goals right there 😭🥰

Hilary + Clay chose to share a first look with one another in a fern filled forest just moments before their ceremony where they shared vows and promises with one another that they had personally written.

Following their ceremony, their guests were invited to join in a cocktail hour beneath the trees as they enjoyed tunes from their folky bluegrass style band, taking pictures inside the VW photo-bus, and sneaking in some love from Hilary + Clay’s adorable golden retriever, Jasper, who was roaming the grounds in his floral collar. And yes, it took everything in us not to follow him around all day with the camera 🖤

Their reception took place beneath a sail cloth tent where guests were first greeted by a stunningly designed macrame escort card wall and a table display of sweet treats. The day was was so perfectly fitting for Hilary + Clay. Every little thing just felt so very “them.” These two have traveled the world together and have made so many friendships as a result. They’re the kind of people who radiate positivity (can you tell that just being around Hilary makes you happier? BEST smile award 🙌🏻) and make everyone feel completely loved and welcome. And you could feel how much they are loved in RETURN through the smiling faces of everyone who traveled to be there with them for their destination wedding weekend.

They partied all night thanks to the Grift Band (one of THE best wedding bands we’ve heard to date) and at the end of the night, they exited through a tunnel of sparklers! It was a perfect day, with a wonderful couple, and the most top notch team we could ask to work alongside 💫
