wouldn't that be a nightmare to do maintenance on? How would you clean all the waste that would get trapped in between the rocks without taking them all out?

@Michael A decent aquascape setup with the right soil and filtration doesn't need the maintenance that most people think is necessary. However, the aquascape in the video seems very "cold" to me and the 3d rock background destroys the sense of depth.
