  • Our senses are continually browsing and attaching to sense objects. If we don't have control over where our senses are engaged we become mindless.
    There is a difference between Karmis and Nastiks.
    Karmis at least accept that outcomes in life are dependent on the past karma and do austerities (such as vrat/fasting, charity, yagna, Parikrama, chanting when done with the expectation of something in return from demigods). However, Nastiks don't have faith in the concept of karma. They are not ready to accept what they don't see. They believe in YOLO (You Only Live Once).
    Comparing teachings of Chapter 3 with BG 6.17. The verse is:
    yuktāhāra-vihārasya yukta-ceṣṭasya karmasu |
    yukta-svapnāvabodhasya yogo bhavati duḥkha-hā ||
    The translation of this verse is:
    "He who is temperate in his habits of eating, sleeping, working, and recreation can mitigate all material pains by practicing the yoga system."
    This verse emphasizes the importance of moderation and balance in one's lifestyle to achieve success in yoga.
