Look at the teams Chelsea had to beat in the UCL in 2012 and 2021 to even get to the finals! Knocking out Barcelona in 2012 and Real Madrid in 2021. Both ties were over 2 legs! Even as an arsenal fan, i can't take egal. But let's get a couple of things straight.
1- Porto were very lucky to win the match. Arsenal did nothing to win the game either.
2- the loss was not down to Arteta. The players did not turn up at all. It's on them.
Id say it's all on arteta he's a one trick pony. Good coach but a novice manager.
Porto had chances from galeno early on in the game to go a goal up they were better than arsenal n the luck thing ig it favored them
they absolutely did. they also fell to the floor like leaves on every corner and the ref called the "fouls". Arsenal just didn't do enough- or just about anything for that matter - to win. Porto did what they could and held on to win it. If they go through then the players need to look at themselves as if both teams show up with their best I believe it is no contest. But that is what is great about sport, no guarantees! @@JoshSmithJ19

offcourse the goal was mostly Raya's fault(A. he wasn't in good position before the shot, B. if his arm was longer like Ramsdale's, he certainly wouldn't concede such howler despite his position)...... THAT BEING SAID, the result wasn't purely Raya's fault...... because I don't give a fuck that we went play away...... if we want to win the whole thing, a team like Porto CANNOT surprise us like this even if we played them on the fucking moon..... Arteta came to play some "tactical bullshit" and it came to bite him in the ass eventually...... if you want to go comfortably into 2nd leg, you need to bag in at least 0:1 win..... a draw is not enough even against a team like Porto...... there's still plenty of uncertainty in a result like that...... this way, even if go through, it'll be fucking close and it will put A LOT of unnecessary stress on players while doing it...... this game was simply another proof of Arteta's managerial immaturity...... and that's why we won't win anything this year either
