Seeing Robin Williams recording his voice truly shows how much fun he had working on this film. And it paid off because his Genie truly was the bright spark of the film. And Will Smith really lived up to the exciting levels of Williams' performance as the genie too.
Having seen Jonathan Freeman perform Jafar live in the musical, I gotta say how much I love how he gets into it and you can see the character in his voice. (Especially when he's in costume.)
I missed Robin Williams's sense of humor, and comedy may he R.I.P. as one of the best Genie voice ever, and childhood idol I've loved Aladdin since I was 5 years old when I first saw it sure does bring back memories. I loved this movie since the beginning of my childhood and I still watch and love it.
Frankly, I think the animator of Jafar based the character on himself..I see a much stronger visual resemblance between Jafar and him than with the voice actor. Interesting!

Andreas Deja (the guy at 3:18) is the man to go to if you need a villain drawn for a Disney movie not only did he draw Jafar for "Aladdin" but he also drew Gaston for "Beauty and the Beast" and Scar for "The Lion King".
I love how most of the voice actors used their normal speaking voices for these roles. I love this movie so much! 1989-1998 were the best years to be a kid and actually seeing all of these classics when they first came out in theaters and later owned on VHS. It was truly magical. Best. Childhood. Ever.

Ron Clements and John Musker Are The Perfect Disney Directors Which is Why Those 2 Are My Favorites and They Add Very Good Actors Some TV Movie Actors Along With Broadway Actors and I Love The Voices In Aladdin So Much!
They're the only directorial duo from Disney that is still going strong, having recently directed Moana. Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (directors of Beauty and the Beast, Hunchback of Notre Dame and Atlantis: The Lost Empire) for some reason don't work together anymore, and it was clear that the other directorial duos were one-time deals.
Watching the Genie character & remembering how awesome robin Williams was in this role I can’t help but tear up a little RIP mr Williams you are greatly missed 😞
Genie has to be my absolute favorite character in Aladdin Robin did an amazing job doing Genie's voice, it just came to life with his comedian personality that what made him the best R.I.P. Robin Williams. When you see the voice actors in their 90s fashion and haircuts, it hits home how timeless Disney movies are. With a few minor updates you could release most Disney movies today 2 decades later and they'd still be brilliant.
When he says the character looks like him that makes me think of Pixar's Inside Out where the characters look like the actor's who voice them. :) I always think its funny when animated movies do that.
Aladdin has always been my favorite prince, but Genie was always my favorite character in Aladdin. And Jafar's reprise of Prince Ali has always been my favorite reprise. This movie is a big part of my life. Genie is my favorite sidekick. Aside from Olaf but genie will always be my number one
