- An original composition from my rescore of the Doctor Who episode, New Earth.
A slow, peaceful theme for the Face of Boe as he gives the Doctor his prophecy and leaves for the season. Simple in itself, but with plenty of room to expand upon should I eventually reach the episode Gridlock.
The full album in lossless quality, featuring original compisitions for "The Christmas Invasion" and "New Earth," is available on my Bandcamp:

"Legends say youre millions of years old"
"Well that would be impossible"
"You're an imposible thing jack!"
Oh sheeeeeeeet
Not many people spot that tie in well done 👏🏻, when I rewatched this episode a while ago I realised that he was joking about the fact that the doctor called him an impossible thing but then I did and I like it xx
It is always good to see the face of boe
It all ways great to see the face of Boe
The face of bow what a grate character
The Face of Boe.... a great character.
The phase of boe what a great character
Jack!
Great stuff
Love your name
Best character in Dr who (face of BOE the doctor and the TARDIS)
How can the Face of Boe be Jack when Jack has an American accent and the Face of Boe has an English accent? Also, the Face of Boe has brown irises whereas Captain Jack has blue irises.
Uh... millions or billions of years?
@@Mor1adim Nah, this was just a retcon made by the Doctor Who team. Originally, the Face of Boe was supposed to be an ancient alien with a lot of non-human appendages on its head. Then, for some reason, they decided to retcon that and turn Captain Jack into the Face of Boe.
yea well.. the face of boe is also a gigantic face whereas jack is a humanoid so I dont think we should be too worried about appearance
Well Toymaker theory exists
@user-bk9fk2tq2z no you are just toxic and mentally retarded
captain jack
Showing up out of the blue and shitting on someone's artistic work seems like a garbage thing to do, but I have to admit complete and utter confusion about this project and this song. I'd rate Murray Gold as a composer and his score for the RTD era of Doctor Who as absolutely top tier, legendary, best-of-all-time TV show score, so I don't really understand the drive to rescore it. My question, I suppose, is what was the impetus for this project? And secondarily, what was the artistic reasoning for kind of removing the really emotional mood this piece originally had? I'm actually interested in this project and I'll go take a listen to it, so I hope this doesn't come across as overly critical, but I'm just curious, especially since this original piece is one of my favorites from Murray Gold.
That's totally fair, thanks for asking. I'm a huge fan of his work too, it's one of the main things that inspired me to compose myself. Honestly, I just really liked the show and wanted to practice composing over something that I know like the back of my hand. I didn't expect certain parts of this project (especially these very early ones) to blow up like they have, but I decided to stick with it both for the sake of improving over time and just enjoying doing it. For this one, I kept it very simple because I hoped to expand on it later, and also just due to where I was in terms of skill at the time. I ended up doing everything that I wanted to do with the motif in my later material for Gridlock. Admittedly, I'd probably do it very differently now than I did back then, but I like it for that reason. It's a very enjoyable hobby.
@@TheCelestialMechanic103 Thanks so much for the reply. Good a reason as any.
