- The U.S. has denied giving Ukraine permission to use Western-supplied weapons to strike Russian territory. This comes after Moscow accused Washington of “playing with fire” by allowing Kyiv to shell Russian cities. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that the U.S. do not encourage, nor enable Ukrainian attacks using US-supplied weapon systems inside Russian territory.
