- This is a full walk-through tour of the RetroPie Guy Ultimate PC Gaming Build 4TB SSD which gets installed inside a PC of your choosing (preferably a gaming PC).
This video walks through each of the game console collections while also showing many of the layouts, functions, and features of this amazing setup.

Yes! I would say ps3 took longer to set up than the rest of the entire build.
Not exactly you just need to have a fast internet and if you have an average upload quality then you leave downloading collections overnight simple

6 months dang lol literally just drop roms in and scrap lol batocera and retrobat are all preconfigured lol
@@vlc9521 dropping Roms is time consuming. Especially ps3 because each title has to be configured individually to better the performance
@@RetroGamingGuy no it's not the hardest part about ps3 is making the m3u file for the games to show up lol 😆 and my 4tb build also includes Xbox360 and switch.

I've worked out a way to finally save Retroarch settings in Batocera 😃
1. In batocera settings and per system advanced configuration :
Set decoration set to "none"
In game rendering -
Set shader set to "none"
and smooth games to "off"
2. Start a game on the core you want to change settings.
3. Bring up retroarch (select and x) while game is running.
4. Change settings you want.
For example to set shader -
Shaders in quick menu
Zfast_crt. glsi (filter nearest/default)
5. Apply changes
Go to save in shaders
Save core preset
Go to Overides
Save core overides

Loving the build you have (Build being you're particular rom set built and theme). I think the brilliance is with batocera is the freedom of customisation according to preference. I've just ordered a mini pc for a 720p monitor for a minimum space build to play on an actual screen rather than say a mobile device.
The theme is great here in the vid as its very complete but my pref stock theme (shows description in correct caps and minimal fuss with console pic for selection) with box art and description only but only full officially released set complete nes snes psx megadrive master system and n64. I plan on adding psp to my library for psp is great and psp emulator is fine to run on low ends.
Planning on using nes and Snes mini Controllers too for authenticity.
Would be great to be able to buy this or split into parts for a download 😁

I’m considering switching from Emudeck to Botacrera on my SteamDeck. You think the 360 and Switch can work on Batocera??

Amazing,it is time consuming working on my own image for Retropie,just discovered Batocera which seems easier,might do that when i finish this 1,so far got 36 systems on pi 4 around 20,000 games but its more girly than most images ive found on arcade punks,anyway thats the fun making it yourself!👌👌❤
Yes it's always good to be able to customize it to what you're looking for. When you jump to Batocera next I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much more user friendly Batocera is. The settings adjustment are much better as well to improve your emulators performance.

Nice! I never heard of Batocera before... I have Hyperspin on my Vewlix cabinet, but I am looking to upgrade my pc and maybe try a different program for better emulation. Do you think Batocera is better than Hyperspin? Hyperspin is pretty intense to get all the settings right - is that also the case with Batocera?

Thanks. Not super familiar with hyperspin but I find Batocera to be very straight forward and easy to setup.
Awesome job love it but where can i get this building games list. It wish it was a way to download all them games.
I must confess I'm a bit shit when it comes to setting this stuff up...Ive downloaded a load of different images that are "ready to go" and more than 80% of them just don't work straight from boot...
That's one of the issues with the downloadable "ready to go" ones. It's a whole lot to download and everything has to fall into place just right to be a success. That's the result 9/10 times unfortunately.
does it always show the game in a small tv box that is a third of the screen?

wow, great collection! for the Wii/WiiU collections - you mentioned using remotes - but will the games play when using a controller/Xbox controller/Xinput? Obviously some won't, but it would be awesome if you can just play with the controller you pay everything else on the collection with... Thanks!
Hey there! Yeah you can use regular controllers with some games. As you said some won't work it depends on the game but racing games for example work fine with regular controllers. You can even use the original wii Gamepads too.
@@RetroGamingGuy Do the arcade style controllers work, Light guns for modern TV's, Sorry to ask so many questions trying to learn the proes and cons of emulating and I'm overwhelmed at the moment. This looks good It's a massive collection just want to know the limits of the software(upscaling, ease of use + I want my 3Year old to smash buttons and have fun duck hunt is the dream).

I would be interested if it was preconfigured for AE Lightgun or Gun4ir.
Relatively easy to setup AE light I haven't used gun4air but I believe the process is more or less the same. I have a tutorials on that AE light gun setup process.

This looks amazing I’m really torn at mo what to get n it’s such a minefield I did want the retrostation gtx but you just can’t buy it in uk sold out eTc so not sure what to get or what is best right now? So wait, can you explain to me exactly what Batocera is? Is this just another Operatying system that is different to Retropi. I currently own a Pi 400 with retro pie installed. Does it have better over all performance and speed, less frame rate issues, etc.

It means you have to disable secure boot in the bios.
Love this build, any chance selling a HD (this is so much better than the Kinhank Batocera drives)

Batocera is a completely separate os from you pc so it won't be able to extract anything from you.

Don't have a download option for this due to its large size and haven't had any luck getting my pc to recognize this ssd within windows. Still trying to solve that.

Maybe you have bad roms or no bios files? Run a bios check
What specs are his gaming pc, not sure what GPU to get, don't want to go overkill for retro gaming maybe up to ps3
It's a hp pavilion gaming pc. If you check it out on amazon you'll see list of specs. Sorry they're too lengthy to list but I'd say get something with a Ghz over 3 and you should be able to get into ps2 and xbox. Wii u switch and ps3 will require in most cases a gaming pc though.

we need someone to make a torrent for sure , and it would be awesome if it have a selective folders for each console or set of consoles (8 bit , 16 bit ...etc ) as some of us have limited internet quota and 4 terabyte wont really work at one go

does it being an ssd or hdd make a conrete difference alone in terms of batocera and your roms running off it?
It makes a sizeable difference in load times more than anything and I definitely see a performance difference with the more demanding collections like PS3 especially.

Probably but you need an ssd enclosure for most mini PCs as there likely isn't enough room to install within.
