    Good for you guys! I am sure your family and friends back home have missed you tremendously! And I hope the China through your lens would make many other people in the US understand that at the end of day, we are all the same in the essence no matter what our nationalities or cultures are! Well done and safe travel! ❤

      As you can see they live in a bubble of the circles of westerners who can’t even understand China by themselves. For example, that kind of toilet only existed in public bathrooms . Because Chinese don’t like touch a toilet (hands or skins) where in public bathrooms . I am not surprised they would like to leave China even the pandemic restrictions not there . Because at the very beginning they considered themselves as “guests “in China, 3 years Already too long for them . Big applause for this family finished this long China trip and reopening another America life trip . It’s a treasure for parents and children to experience China in their own life. Welcome visit China again anytime in the future!

      There is no much differences between Chinese people and Americans despite the differences in culture and political systems. There is one major difference between China and the US, is that the Chinese government doesn't act so hostile toward to the US as much as the US government does toward to China. Chinese government doesn't interference American internal affairs or the mess American people are facing on a daily basis. But the US constantly imposes its ideology and disfunction system to China.

    There are always pros and cons in terms of living in the US and China. But It’s about time to move back. Besides everything else, the girls need to be in the native environment in their next phase of growing up. After a quiet down period, you might start missing the metropolitan part of China. A lot more fun stuff over there. Soon after the pandemic travel restrictions lifted, I know I will be the first one to be there. I am sure something over there would lure you back there too at some point. Just hoping the hostility between the two countries wouldn’t get worse due to geopolitical rivalries.

    Kind of sad to hear this, but i think you made the right decision. Three years, i witnessed your surprising adventures, happiness. The good vision of China life become disappointed finally, sorry about that. I hope things were changed one day, the old friends could come back again. Best wishes for you and your lovely kids.

    It always difficult to say goodbye to all your friends after all those good years knowing them, closing your chapter in China only to open your new chapter in America. Farewel to Garcia family, bin voyage

    With the Covid restrictions in China and pilot shortage in the USA now was probably the best time to return home to family and friends.

    I remember the Chongqing noodles also being quite delicious. Have you guys been having reverse culture shock now that you're back in the states? I left China after living there for 3.5 years (2018-2021) and I was blindsided by my own culture, lol.

    • @GarciaFamily4
      @GarciaFamily4  Před 2 lety +1

      YES! We have all experience reverse culture shock for sure. Things have changed for sure and we have grown and changed too. Great question and comment, thanks

    I'm happy for your family........and sad at the same time. I think you David were first "ok" with the first quarantine, but then the 2nd or 3rd lockdown there in Chongqing, you were spooked, thinking of a way out...out of China. To tell you the truth, America (which I have been living for last 28 years) is NOT anyway safer than Chongqing. We just hide or UNDER-REPORT the severity of this disease (now over 1 million covid related death). Now both parties are gearing up for mid-term election, none of them want the voters see them as weak, so they don't wear mask! By the way, I think your new company Alaskan Airlines mainly fly boeing 737 (??)

    • @GarciaFamily4
      @GarciaFamily4  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, I will be flying the Boeing 737 now, so that is a very exciting opportunity for me.

    I am from HK. Of course, we will miss you and your family a lot. There is a question. Could David get home every night when he works with Alaska Airline ? You told us this was the reason why you moved to China - can get home every night.

    • @GarciaFamily4
      @GarciaFamily4  Před 2 lety +2

      The answer is no. He will have trips, but like everything in life there are pros and cons. This is a con, but being by our family is the best for us in this season of your lives. Thankful to have a wonderful job and also be by our family!!!
