1983 Sea King 15hp. by Chrysler. Straight From a Northern Mi. Scrap Facility to running in 4 hours.

- I bought 5 Scrapyard outboards today for $100
This 1983 Sea King 15hp by Chrysler, a 1957 Gale made Brooklure 12hp. atwin cylinder Neptune, a 1947 Evinrude Sportsman 2hp single and a Clinton 5hp single. I have an affinity for Chrysler outboards so I started with this one first. I believe it was cast aside for two reasons; no spark ✨️ and fuel delivery issues. First up, I diagnosed the no spark issue as a bad kill switch so I unplugged it, Awesome!! I got spark now! 😆. The carburetor was really really bad inside with a white powder and it looked like something from a salt mine. I cleaned up the carburetor as good as possible and put everything back together and Boom 💥!! it runs! I'm going to go on the hunt for a new replacement carburetor on eBay whether it be used or New Old Stock. I'm just thrilled it's running AND pumping 💧 water 💧!! Thanks for watching 👀 🙂

Got the new carburetor on today from Franz Marine in Grandview Missouri!
It is clean under the hood. Classic crack recoil spool for those motors. Nice find!
Thanks! The paint on the motor is so nice! I ran out of 'Purple Power', the cleaner I use for de-greasing and cleaning all my motors, but I'll get that soon enough and it will look great!
I have several parts motors to fix that with. I buy them even if they are seized to help insure I always have what I need to keep them going 😊

Fixing these motors is pretty straight forward for the most part. The sheeple have such a throwaway mentality with motors, and devices that use motors, programmed by the electric talmudic toilet with commercials.
