I like the look of this Smart. 👍👍
That washer fluid lid is too difficult to open. Why didn't they make it as the frunk lid mechanism. Maybe Smart thinks that the owners go every time to the official Smart service center to have it filled up with official Smart washer fluid, to avoid warranty expiration.
Looks like a cross between a mini and a ora thingy cat - with a trace of suzuki swift. And that's a good thing, looks clean and simple
I like that colour combo.
@Bjorn, ADAC found in their 05/23 extensive test of a Pro+ that it consumed continuously 1kW reactive power, even after charging stopped!
This hinders effective slow-charging on a PV system and one might even get charged for by the grid operator in some setups/regions.
See: „Der ausführliche Testbericht zum smart #1 Pro+ (22 kW OBC) (ab 04/23) als PDF.“
1st time I notice such a test. Was under the impression that any application of that power needs efficient active PFC to be compliant.
They could not measure the issue on a Premium Model - I assume that is the one marketed with the SiC based inverters, so maybe a different AC inverter too?
looks good 👍👍 Skoda should make an EV this size.
interesting that you (in norway) can only get your hand on one so late. Drove the brabus version in the South of France 3 weeks ago and I must say, coming from tesla, I was impressed by the responsiveness of the car and its overall confort - compared to a TMY performance or even a TMS with air suspension.
Did not get enough time to check it for consumption etc. was a very good surprise to drive. the infotainment + GPS was not to good thought. it got me lost in Cannes 🙂
In the front arm rest there was a label stating Charge card. Interesting.
Good Video😊
Great car❤
I wish Honda would refresh the e with a bigger battery and hands free autopilot. I'd prefer it to this I think.
plasic fantastic
Some talented people are behind this car it seems
Who makes the battery for the #1?
What is the range?
I can see that mercedes cut alot of cost by covering the plastics
For all those mourning the discontinuation of the BMW i3 - here comes YOUR car!
Hope this car comes to Australia
wake up babe new Bjorn Nyland video just dropped
It looks like a mini cooper and mercedes EQB had a child.
What is the battery size?
66kwh gross about 62kwh useable capacity, from other reviews on here on this and the brabus editions. 👍🏻
Would prefer a Tesla with this size, unfortunately they don’t make one (yet). Model 3 / Y are too big for many places in Europe!
@@bjornnyland we live in Germany. We have a Model 3 and need a 2nd BEV. For going into the city and small parking slots a smaller Tesla would be nice. Turning radius and long wheel base combined with low ground clearance of Tesla is also an issue sometimes.
PS: there is a reason why cars like the VW T-ROC are very successful here.
@@TheArminOF100% agree. New Mini or Renault 5 could be nice options (much nicer than #1).
❤❤❤
I know some people wants something different and cute, but seems like you get so much more car in Model 3 or BYD Seal.
Aren't these built in China by Geely? Hence the Chinese lettering on the washer cover.
Do you think is a good deal ?
# means number in this name not hashtag, right? So Smart number one.
I don't care what merc says, # is called hashtag and is used to indicate number. The marketing people just wanted to create a controversy, and they have.
Looking for child seat test in this Smart.
That looks NOTHING like my old Smart.
In my humble opinion, this car looks almost as bad as the Audi a2 😆 Well, "almost"!
Its made in China bro. Smart has joint venture with Gelly. They produce it.
@@bjornnyland I am in the Philippines searching for electric cars, then I found it but not yet available but come soon. Check also Jetour ICE cream EV. That 10K small electric car with really good quality.
First 🎉🎉
this car is just a bad chinese imitation of the mini
Its a copy of the mini without the terrible ride, self destructing engines, senseless “extras” and poor interior materials , i would buy one of these every day over the fur coat and no knickers mini.
Has nothing to do with mini. Yes its a chinese car, but different companies. Mini is manufactured by great wall motors, Smart by Geely.
This is not a city car. Smart fortwo was a city car. That was the only reason to buy a smart, because it was very small. This is huge in comparison. Way to ruin a brand.
No, it's not a city car, but a good small SUV. Smart would be dead if they didn't change their concept and moved away from city cars. I am sure as soon as cost allow it, they would bring back a city car.
@@chrizz754 Bjorn's thumbnail states that it's a city car, so my comment was related to that. The "it's not a city car, but" doesn't address the problem I'm having with the statement.
Don't know their financials, but crowded european cities are full of them, so there's definitely demand. Instead of changing the form factor they should have changed the quality. Until/if they bring back the small version, I'm stuck with my old raggedy fortwo with no alternative.
@@ovidiuc4 sure, I agree with you on that one: the for2 was a true city car, but #1 goes beyond the city car concept. Smart financials and sales were pretty bad, so they sold 50% to Geely and changed the whole identity. Otherwise as I mentioend they would have just killed the brand.
@@chrizz754 That was a year issue... Battery prices have went down considerably...
❤❤❤
I like that it has both HUD and a driver info screen in front of the driver - EX30 has neither IIRC
Which wouldn't be that big of a problem if they just had a horizontal screen instead of a vertical one
