I fell in love with the Book 1’s the first time I’ve seen them, good to know they’re also great performers. Hope the other colorways are gonna be widely available because damn these are beautiful and I want to have a pair

Nice to know some like it. I find it so damn ugly like a blazer so it's not a 2023 shoe but this was 80s. Might be a good performer but the looks are old school lifestyle and not on the court

I was watching Phoenix on TV the other day and noticed like 4 players wearing the Book 1. I'm not crazy about the shoe's design (as far as signatures go), but they did look like an awesome team shoe. Thanks for another great review Zach 👍

Hey doc, I am a tts 12.5 and I have medium to wide feet. Between 12 and 13, what size would you recommend for the harden 7? 12.5 is out of stock and I doubt they will restock.

The silhouette really reminds me of de Kobe AD Mid, which makes sense since D. Book was seen playing in those a lot. I think he even had a PE of the AD Mids.

That heel-to-toe drop is unfortunately quite wicked. I was hoping it would resemble more of a Nike Blazer than an AF1.

Book 1, harden 7, AE1… which one would you go with? Similar body type to yourself. Play mostly indoors. Basketball.volleyball
Is the lack of containment comparable to the Puma Nitro Fusion, the shoe with the x shaped lacing?
As soon as the Puma is heating up the uppers getting more loose and heel slippage occurs, and when stopping lateral movements, my foot goes "through" the uppers and sometimes i can feel my pinky toe touch the floor, which is really an issue.
The Kyrie Low 5 are much better regarding containment, but where much harder regarding the midsole and feel - the first game was really no pleasure until i got my orthotics.
Fusion nitros were noticeably worse
Would the move gamedays be a good option for these shoes

When these shoes first came out alot of reviewers were trashing these shoes. The look, the tech, etc. I personally think they look awesome and the review makes me like them even more.

I was tripping on stock X they are $2,500 I need this color way. For our school colors super sick.
A small zoom bag in the front would go a long way with that thin foam. Even just under the ball of the foot. Especially for street ball use.

You can’t rely on this type of bounce test. It’s the athlete’s bounce should be tested and his feel about the shoes while jumping. Not a metal ball bouncing on each cushlon or zoom

Probably not, Would recommend move insoles
They’re just thin pieces of foam- same as a drug store replacement - even the premium stock insoles aren’t anything special- that’s why I so rarely mention them

The way I see it, tech-wise, these are Kobe 4s with Booker’s branding
But the thread is so thin and they will wear out fast. The older Nike bball shoes have much wider thread and better outsole durability
