And always enhanced by your upbeat attitude to help those who need it in any way you can, not only recovering their vehicles, but bringing along food and water when they need it. Ed is observing the sky for any change in the weather and ready to give the report. Rudy is thinking of the stress of every welded part the Morrvair will be under, but knowing it will stand the test of time and probably thinking of the food stop after the job is finished. Lizzy is in the back seat carrying in her mind all of her horse riding skills and knowing how to hitch up a wagon, car, truck or RV with a long rope, knowing it has no other way to go except out and Ed said, "we got the job done." !!!

I worked for the DOT in Nevada. I had a service truck with a boom and air compressor, and a welder. Even though I could do a great number of different repairs on the side of the road, my Boss said that if I could not accomplish the repair in 10 minutes, I was to call for the transport. We had a heavy duty trailer with a winch that could load a fully loaded plow truck with the tires locked. It was a beast. My Boss did not want me working along side of the freeway, and I was happy about that!!! The run of the mill freeway driver has no problem going 80 MPH right next to somebody working on the side of the freeway. Watching the show, "Highway To Hell" on TV will show just how STUPID the general public is when encountering a broke down/stuck vehicle on the side of a freeway that is covered with ice. I think that in some things, the Canadian truck drivers are more dangerous than they are in the US. Maybe not.

If the police would want to stop you they would show you the signals and follow you to the nearest exit or resting area. If you see someone on the side you move over the lane if you can or keep extra distance and in the night even alert other drivers using your emergency blinkers. you are required to put up a warning beacon or a reflective triangle 100 Meters before your car. Thanks for the video again folks. Over the decades of offroading here in southern BC we have found 2 truck campers that have come off the back of the owner's truck. Both of them were in really, truly interesting spots and I was curious as to how they'd get them back on or even out of there at all. One was nearly new and the damage wasn't going to buff out... Anyway kudos to the camper fellow for having it tied down fairly well. Merry Christmas all.

I had an old Dodge duelie and had a 3,000 pound camper in the bed. I was on a desert road causing along at 50 MPH, (it was a nice gravel road), when I hit a washout. The truck came off the ground 3 times. The washout was 18" deep and 6' across, with straight up sides. When all of the dust settled the camper (Lance) was sitting on one of the wheel wells. It broke 2 tie-downs, but did nothing to the camper. I was impressed. I was able to use the camper jacks to get it relocated in the bed, and used a couple of ratchet straps to replace the broken tie-downs, and continued on. That was definitely one well made camper.
