Far cry has always had a ton of nice details like this. Yes the open world formula isn't the best but I liked far cry 6.

Yes they do, but not in that dumb part where all normal player spend 1h in game. Story, dialog system, face animation, combat, musics, sound, bigest skill tree in open world game, 3 diferend origins and 6 diferend endings.
Far Cry always had some of the best details for a 1st person view game

Sometimes I really wonder if Cyberpunk 2077 was intentionally made bad. Many things shown here like water physics and realistic collision against weak plants are present in even the most basic game engines like Unity and Unreal. The only way to fail over there is by intentionally changing the default settings for absolutely no reason.
Big game development enterprises use their own engines, probably you will never see them using Unity or Unreal (excluding Epic, cuz they own Unreal Engine). But yeah, it’s something so basic that almost everyone that has experience on game development could do it.

@@Soy_LazaR their own engine would be even better than Unity and Unreal, assuming they made The Witcher III on it. The fact that they messed up even then really makes me wonder WTF was happening over there.
Well, water physics is not present as a seperate system in game engines..(atleast in unreal) ..but those are independent on the game engine and rely on the developers to be added to the game..destruction physics are available in engines, but would destroy almost all the materials in the same manner.. like glass is meant to be shattered..but the unreal destruction engine works the same destruction physics in all the surfaces..

@@arthurmorgan7026 all of rockstars games are in full development for 5 or so years now. Ubisoft only get about 3 ish years for the far cry games. So I bet if they were allowed more dev time they could make something really rather great in terms of details. Far cry 6 is already a fantastic game mind you.

@@polishhamnr1469 useless comparison, far cry 2 was a TECHNODEMO showcasing FEATURES of the new at that time engine (which ubisoft in reality had stolen from Crytek) and was super poor in everything else. The real story is that Crytek had their Far Cry franchise stolen by Ubisoft and had to make a new IP, and Ubisoft stole Crytek's Far Cry franchise and both of them had no idea how to treat their new franchise and how to attract people so both of them decided to make a technodemo of their engines :) And while Crysis 1 was good besides the engine, FC2 really was nothing but a technodemo and had very poor gameplay and a lot of annoying poorly designed gameplay stuff

@@polishhamnr1469 pfft, far cry 2 sucks and was possibly somewhat good only for its time (2008) but even Far Cry 1 from 2004 IS STILL better than FC2 and is still enjoyable even today, but it's a different game ofc, it has game design more like Crysis, they even have the same structure of having strictly human enemies for the first part of the game, then some monsters and stuff for the rest of the game. But yeah, FC2... I remember that even back then I *forced myself* to finish FC2 because how repetitive it was, ANY new far cry, even 6 is much better than that garbage with like only 2 types of missions where you go to the town, get the task to assassinate someone in some camp, go to the point and assassinate then come back to town and repeat and this is the main storyline lmao; and the second type of mission is assassinate someone in exchange for pills for malaria which is a secondary mission that you're forced to do otherwise it's game over if you don't have pills. That's it. You won't get any mission like to burn a coke plant fields like in fc3/6, fight some godzilla hallucinations in FC3, you won't get a mission to protect the airfield using the plane like in fc5, you won't get any fun secondary mission like from UFO researcher in FC5, like a some research lab in FC6 that is straight out of horror movies with creepy music/flashing lights, blood everywhere, and then in the end mutated roosters appear and attack lmao.
Don't forget enemy camps and checkpoints in FC2 which constantly respawn and which constantly block your movement until you clear em out, but on your way back they'll already respawn again which gets irritating and annoying really fast, oh and don't forget weird barely working stealth mechanic as well like when you've managed to approach enemy in stealth, machete doesn't even kill an enemy and then everyone instantly knows your location and everyone starts rushing at you because the game has hive mind AI; or like silenced weapons work only if nobody sees the body, if someone sees the body then the entire enemy camp/checkpoints instantly KNOWS your location for some reason and starts rushing you because the hive mind AI :)
I like stealth games and I always prefer stealth gameplay whenever available and possible, I always take max difficulty and play in stealth in such games like Crysis / Far Cry 3, 4, 5, 6, Cyberpunk, Deus Ex HR, etc heck even Tomb Raider's stealth was enjoyable because you'll get killed in few shots. But in FC2 stealth was so freaking awful and barely even working that I had to entirely ignore it and switch from low rate of fire silenced pistol and sniper rifle to high rate of fire non-stealth machine guns, assault rifles etc because there's no point, stealth doesn't work in Far Cry 2 and stealth weapons only make you weaker due to low rate of fire, only direct attacks and a rain of bullets work in FC2

lol, looks like Far Cry also has some weird game logic. The petrol bomb bottle shatters when hitting water surface as if it was rock hard. The car drives through thick trees as if they are made of paper mache. NPC float in water butts up. You need 3 bullets to flat a tire and the tire just disappears when finally popped + the car starts to smoke for no reason. Will it explode if you pop all 4 tires?))
The gun silencers in far Cry is another story. They overheat and glow red hot just after several shots. xD
And even if the enemy shoots you a lot you don't die *smh*

The tire not being destroyed in one shot is actually understandable in farcry 6 .. as those vehicle will get shot at alot and it would be a pain in the ass to get your tire deflated after an enemy shoots at it once

You should really reconsider after recent news.
In case you didn't hear, CDPR quietly changed their post from January 2021, the one that had a roadmap which was promising "new features before 2022". So now they've secretly edited this roadmap and removed everything the roadmap said they planned to do in 2021 including DLCs and "new features" and moved it to 2022, making it appear as if "no we've never promised you to make dlcs and updates in 2021, did you actually see our roadmap? It says it was planned for 2022"

This does not justify their current behaviour or why they SILENTLY changed their post from Jan 2021 (when they posted a roadmap) and why they edited the initial roadmap from Jan 2021 post without any announcement or PROPER new post (probably to make it look like "no, we never said we will make it in 2021, the roadmap said 2022 all the time) With the steps they take, all I see is they will update the game to a somewhat stable condition and silently abandon it

Rdr2 and FC 6 has the best water effect I have seen..
FC 6 is really impressive not only in terms of graphics and gameplay and top notch physics but how well it's optimised for pc and console even last gen console running it at stable fps.
