- Santa Cruz de la Sierra was a totally different world after visiting Uyuni, La Paz and Copacabana. The mountain scenery and high altitude changed to humid weather, modern vibes and less poverty. I’d say not authentic Bolivia. However, we liked this other type of Bolivia with its exceptional flora and fauna.

HOW TO GET TO SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA, BOLIVIA?
Viru Viru International Airport in Santa Cruz is Bolivia's largest international airport. You can fly there from Bolivia and other South American countries, as well as North America and Europe.
The airport is located 16 km from the city centre. The most affordable and easiest way to reach the centre is by airport bus 135. If you prefer comfort, just call Uber.
WHERE TO STAY IN SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA?
Cosmopolitano Hotel Boutique has a great location in the centre. The boutique hotel was super stylish, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was chic with minimal decoration and transparent glass walls of the shower.

I was already 3x ins SCZ (coming from Europe) and yesterday i booked my next trip for 5 weeks from June 2024, and relocate for 2 weeks my homeoffice:-). I felt since my first trip very comfortable and safe in Santa Cruz and in Bolivia in general.

Santa Cruz - Bolivia 🇧🇴 is a beautiful evergreen, tropical, friendly Bolivian city. I like the warm weather and the people also. People love to party 🥂

I have a question. My girlfriend life’s there in Santa Cruz de la sierra and I want to visit her. But the problem is i don’t speak Spanish. I can speak a little bit but not much. Is that a problem? Because my girlfriend said that there are not many tourist so they don’t speak much English. Can you help me with that?
I don't speak Spanish either, just a few words, but we were fine. We spoke English and locals kind of understood or didn't, who knows 😁 Just go and have fun in Santa Cruz ☺️
My husband is american and he speaks only english. You should go and visit and ask your girlfriend to translate for you, you can also use goodle tranlate, that helps a lot.

SANTA CRUZ DE LA CIERRA IS A LAND WHERE THE AYOREAN INDIANS POPULATION ABOUNDS, APPROXIMATELY 97% OF THE TOTAL POPULATION OF SANTA CRUZ ARE AYOREAN INDIANS, AND THE REST 3% MESTIZO.
SANTA CRUZ weather is very warm, generally all year round.

I scrolled through 16 different doco’s on seeing Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Yours was the only one I enjoyed because it gives you more vast opportunities to see the land rather than a war on drugs which after watching I disagree on! It’s the Bolivian’s way of living and for the US to bully their indigenous tribes on their way of living is horrendous! Shame on the US and the US embassy! God bless the Bolivian’s of all sides and tribes!! Larga vida bolivia!!
