When the door is open and you look at the cross section of the fuselage the quality of the twin Commander is evident. I’ve always loved them. Especially the shrike.

I wish I had been in that left seat! I took ground school in 8th grade from my science teacher who was a saber pilot in Korea. He was shot down over enemy territory and broke both of his legs when he bailed out. A North Korean family hid him and nursed him back to healthe, but they had no idea how to set the fractures in his legs, so he was hardly able to walk and never flew again. In my science class I jumped right into the flight segment and never left, even though we were supposed to rotate through the several disciplines he was teaching. He mentored my buddy and I and by the end of the year, if we had the money we could have gone for our licenses. Too bad northern one of us could afford the classes. I loved every minute fit, and all of his stories! Thank you Mr. Marsiglia!

The Twin Commander is a great plane. It was very popular during my generation. Very low to the ground with a very sleek look. I have never seen the interior but it looks extremely comfortable but I would want to be in the cockpit if I was flying. The performance on take off was outstanding. Great documentary and video.
