I have standard cab long box 1994 V10 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Now have 80,000 miles on it (don't drive much..am 86 and use it to tow my little 18 foot 5th on camera safaris) It has 5 speed manual and when I get back from a trip the trailer is always about 4 inches longer than when I started out. It is a torque monster.....
Had a 95 v10 2500 4x4 5 speed. 10mpg and ran great, got tired of the shitty front end and steering. Kept wearing out the drag link, got 6000 miles out of a new one.
Forgot...there is a little ball and a spring valve just above the oil filter easily accessed. It controls oil pressure and will fail in older engines. Beloved nephew lost an engine due to the failure and he is sounding the alarm...very easy fix...check the web...
Who said it would be "better"? Because it's a diesel? It has same torque but the v10 has more hp before a tune on both motors so how it would be better makes no sense
Very nice. In my area, even this truck would go for much more than you paid. I've only seen one sport V10 which was a long bed 2500, and only one V10 1-ton which was a 96 on saabkyle's channel. Never seen a V10 sport 1-ton though, with leather no less... I had an 01 V10 2500 QCSB which was a fleet model ex-government vehicle, it had 201k on it and was rusting apart but I know that V10 was a solid engine. It would pull the steepest hill on my commute without coming out of overdrive. I only kept the truck a month because it got 11 mpg at best. Now I have a 1500 and I get 12 at best, usually about 10 so apparently I made the wrong choice, lol. I can afford the gas, just thought I could do better. If I found another V10 truck in good shape I wouldn't hesitate to look at it. I'm going to replace my truck anyway because the fenders are all rusting a bit, and for what it'd cost to fix I can buy one with zero rust anywhere. I'd like to hear an exhaust video, my V10 had a rusted through exhaust and sounded like a sawzall. This one sounds much better.
Thanks man I really appreciate the story I love these dodge trucks and this one caught my eye. I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys them. I'll definitely get a real exhaust video up for you soon. I'm looking forward to restoring this thing for sure.

Well I got the truck just in time before all these trucks jumped like 10k in value,.,what they are going for now is insane !

I had a 2001 Ram 250 V10 and I loved it. It ran excellent. Of course it got bad mileage.
you had a 250 huh? gotta say im pretty jealous. awesome truck
Mark Police I have one of those know
I'm buying my grandpa 1995 v10 dodge ram 3500 with trailer brake controller.
what a shame, this is a classic.
I like how this truck is set up but a Cummins would make it perfect

I am going to look at a 2000 ram 3500 v10 dually with 67k original miles this weekend

I have one and it's a beast of a truck and loud asf to
I'm fairly positive my neighbor pwns this exact truck
Your complaining about rust on that. Stop. That truck is clean af compared to any truck from New York.
Stg. Theres like no rust
looking at one now going for 12k
6000 seems a bit much?
found a flatbed dually v10 like this for 800$. not sure if i should get it or not :/
Ft beds tend to be cheaper because of the bed, but it all really depends on the sound of the engine. Get a second opinion on that
muskox28
