I wonder how John got to Winchester? The pendulum has swung full arc and now regrettably no timely strategic decisions can be made in the UK and we are gently crumbling into 3rd world status. No matter! One could argue that cities are the problem environmentally and if they strangle themselves it may be no bad thing.

I’d simply remove their cars and not allow them to fly. Simple as that. You have a right to protest but you have no right to be a hypocrite and should be made to live by your ethics. Which many don’t do.

There's a large motorway in my area and would hate to go back to the time before it existed (1998). The old main road was simply unfit for purpose!
They should've visited Philadelphia and looked at The Blue Route plan to see what happens when you plan a motorway through wealthy suburbs... :D

Probably by train. There is an excellent service from Waterloo and also cross country services to the north.
