Guy Simchony Totally. It's ridiculous man. I really get tired of it after a while. Like if someone says they liked Batman V Superman or didn't like Dead Pool or Rogue One or something, then people immediately start getting SO butt hurt like you said. They get all worked up and wet their pants over nothing. It's like they're not confident enough in their own opinion of something, so they have to band together with other people and let the whole world know why they're right and other people are wrong about something so insignificant as a movie. So stupid.

Guy Simchony someone's favorite movie is their favorite movie. There's just no debate about that. It's not like they're saying it's the GREATEST movie they've seen this year, it's just the one they've enjoyed the most. People need to understand that. Jeremy's list is HIS BEST. Not THE BEST.

I'm not entirely sure that makes sense.. if you were surprised they came out this year that would mean you thought they came out last year which would be even longer ago and you would be more surprised at how fast the time has flown since those movies came out last year

Han Solo I am not I have some difficulty putting it into words. It was a good movie. I liked it, but I didn't love it, and I wasn't blown away by it. Perhaps it just didn't resonate with me personally, for some reason? I don't get as excited by special effects as some people do, even if they're amazing. I really enjoyed Rogue One. Everybody Wants Some is a masterpiece of dialogue , the way the characters talk with each other is incredible and so real , nothing can touch La La Land though , movie from beginning to end was perfection

Fuck that movie. I get every single message and the point the movie was conveying. But i dont give 2 shits about that. I loved cloverfield. Thought I was getting a sequel, turns out I was literally hustled by a damn movie director and everyone pretended like that shit was ok. I mean I only spent 30 fucking dollars taking my wife and mom to see what we all thought was cloverfield 2.

There's a few on here I have yet to see still because i figured they might be as such... By the way have you thought of adding an "honourable mentions" bit to your top 10 this year? Great video. looked up a top 10 of 2016 movies to get an idea of what I would want to watch with my girlfriend tonight after she is off from work. It helped a lot! =] I do have one suggestion. When I click an Annotation on this video rather than opening up a new tab, my web browser (chrome) would take me to a different video altogether. Forcing me to hit the back button so I could come back to this video. Every Time this would happen the video would play from the beginning, forcing me to sit through another ad, and resulting in me clicking around to found where I left off so I could see the rest of the video. I almost didn't watch the whole video because of it. Also It made me not want to click on all the annotations. but I wanted to know more about almost all of these movies, as I don't have a lot of time to pay attention to movies of 2016. just some minor gripes, but I love your content, I will Probably subscribe after dropping this comment.

It is one of the best movies I have seen in a few years. It has a good story, great characters, beautiful choreography. The set design is very good. Excellent acting from pretty much the whole cast.

No I am not, and yes I did. For me Dangal was such an enjoyable movie and one of the best experiences I've had in the theater in a while. Arrival is a great film, and on paper is better than Dangal, but I'll see Dangal a lot more times than Arrival. Again, my personal taste.

I know, it kind of sucks that almost every movie on here was an action movie. Not bad per say, but leaving out movies such as La La Land, Moonlight and Manchester by the Sea that clearly showed superior writing, directing and acting were all left out for some reason.

Tywin Lannister it didn't suck.....but it wasn't great. I've seen around 80 of this year's movies, and there's only like 6 or 7 that I loved. 2015 I had like 15, and 2014 I had like 30.
Yeah, it sucked for the biggest budgeted films. But man, such amazing films for more mid-range to indie films. And more high profile talent is willing to get into the indie films (sometimes it sounds like they get paid better too).
Tywin Lannister saw all of those. Maybe I'm biased (my name) but I think the superhero movies were the highlight of this year. All except BvS

As far as animation last year goes, I loved "Zootopia" and "Moana" and I liked "Finding Dory" and "Kung Fu Panda 3" but "Kubo and the Two Strings" in particular was one of those animated movies that really grabbed me and I just straight fell in love with; I'd say it joins "Song of the Sea", "Inside Out", and "The Peanuts Movie" as one of my favorite animated films from recent years.
Anyone saying the DC films were better than Marvel films this year needs a full course on filmmaking.

Wish you could've seen "Your Name", that was probably my favorite film of the year. It was a thriller, a comedy, a fantasy, and a genuinely touching and original love story. If it reaches you in cinemas, please go see it, you won't be let down.

As a DC guy, Suicide Squad was shittiest thing happened to DC. Even Shittier than Green Lantern. But BvS UE, was great movie for me, I am patient when it comes to movie.

As much as some of us may want it to, it will never become fact that The Godfather is a great film - yes, almost every single person who has seen it loves it, but there is always room for disagreement, it is not scientifically proven stuff.

I haven't seen Moonlight, La La Land, or Silence yet, but Manchester, Hell or High Water, The Wilderpeople, Nice Guys, Arrival, and Hacksaw Ridge are all amazing films. Zootopia and Deadpool are some of the best blockbusters of the decade. I also really loved The Accountant.
Definitely gonna check out Arrival.

In my opinion, Captain Fantastic is one of the best films this year. It is a highly underrated film that needs to be seen. Trust me, you will like it. Definitely in my top 10 of this year.

I saw Zootopia and Moana both in theaters and, this might just be me, but I find Moana more enjoyable. Not that I don't find Zootopia enjoyable, I loved loved loved the movie, but the animation and story line in Moana is superb. But this is only an opinion

Zootopia was an excellent film and a superb analogy for modern day racism but I couldn't help feeling more sadness than anything else watching it. Not to say this is a bad thing, I think it's excellent film work and I want to see more... but then you realize this is something Pixar has been doing for years. Moana did what Disney has been doing for years; colorful world's populated by cheerful and charming characters with catchy music and an excess of heart. Zootopia had good writing (the animal names might be my only gripe about it) but Moana did something Zootopia couldn't: Make me feel like a kid again.
That's not the only reason why people loved Moana. Did you even see that movie? If you did, you'll know that it has amazing animation, which I would argue was even better than Zootopia's animation, an amazing voice cast, especially from Auli'i Cravalho who's first role ever was playing Moana in this movie, the top notch music (Lin's definitely gonna win an Oscar this year!), and a heartfelt story and amazing characters. The story may be simple, but sometimes simple is all you need. You don't need a complex story in order for your movie to be good, I mean the earlier Disney movies certainly had simple plots but those are still loved to this day. Moana is a throwback to the old Disney classics and I certainly enjoyed it better than Zootopia. That said, I'm not saying that Zootopia was bad. It's actually really great and I loved that movie as well but there was just something about Moana that connected with me on a very personal level which I never actually felt with Zootopia.
I consider Zootopia the better movie . Better plot . But Moana has better technical features as animation and score . No idea what the Oscars want . If it was by me , "Your Name " or "Kimi no na wa "is the better animation movie of the year . Over Zootopia ( 2nd ) and Kubo ( 3rd ) and Moana ( 4th ) .
This year's video actually surprised me! I would've had the same order but with Arrival bumped back to number 10.
I was eagerly waiting for Arrival on the list and I got more nervous as it went on but I was thrilled with the outcome and I have to say that I totally agree.
Batman v Superman (Ultimate edition), Rogue One, Don't Breath, Jungle book, Fantastic Beasts, Dr Strange, The Magnificent 7, Star Trek Beyond are all better than Deadpool.
Deadpool is overrated and the storyline sucks
the storyline isnt what deadpool is about. You go to see a deadpool movie, you want to see deadpool doing deadpool things, you don't go for an overly complicated plot. Or you could, but have Deadpool complaining about how the plot is overly complicated

Arrival is hands down the best movie of the year! It's instantly one of my favourites of all time! I can't help but gush over that movie it just really leaves such an impact on you!
I thought Arrival was great, but it wouldn't make my top 5. It's just not a movie that has any replay value for me. Hell, I gave The Martian the number 2 ranking spot on my list last year and I have no interest in seeing it again. On the other hand, I ranked Age of Ultron #8 on my list and have watched it several times.

It's hard for me to find movies I like, so I don't watch a lot, but the lists you make are always good suggestions.
Sadly I have to say lala land was my top and I'm a huge Star Wars and action/comic nerd. I've never seen a movie that moved me emotionally like that movie did - the movie made me straight up cry. And I've been working as a first responder for a few years now.
