Anupama always brings out an "intelligent, thoughtful, yet still hilariously entertaining" side to Ranveer Singh. It's quite incredible how he seems to have built endless goodwill in a cynical industry in just a few years that he's been here. And what's most striking is, how he could convincingly pull off Bajirao at 7 films old when most actors (in bollywood) are just barely starting off. This one is a gem!
Ranveer singh is just too adorable ! So genuine and such a fun personality among all these condesencding actors that I have seen in Bollywood. There's no pretense to who he is. Love this guy ! Wish him all the best in Bajirao and I cannot wait to see it either !

I dismissed him as a show off and attention seeker when he came on the scene, but I can say that he's way more interesting as an actor and as a personality because of his nature and different take on life. I'd rather watch him than run of the mill stars like Shahrukh khan and others whose priority is becoming and maintaining a brand image. Nothing wrong with that but not for me.

fau2an100 U do realize that Sachin Tendulkar looked upto Viv Richards and Brian Lara and yet became the Sachin Tendulkar and Shah Rukh Khan has told that he's copied Nana Patekar or Jackie Shroff for certain scenes yet he's a much bigger star than Nana Patekar and certainly a better actor than Jackie Shroff. So, my friend one can learn from anybody and yet make a distinct identity for himself. I hope u understand my point now.
Deepak Nag again, being inspired by a couple of actors here and there is different than outright copying someone. SRK is inspired by many yet claims that he made a career out of COPYING dilip kumar and amitabh bachchan.
Ditto for Ranveer. Im sure hes inspired by many, but he outright COPIES srk. Its plain as day. I like ranveer alot as well. In my eyes, hes the best amongst the young lot yet he doesnt hold a candle to srk. sorry :)

Ranveer is such a sweetheart!!❤️🙈 He's my favorite!! And he has such a beautiful personality and is just being himself...he isn't trying to change himself at all and that's what i love most about him ❤️ He came a very long way...3 long years of struggling 😳 but then he finally did it 💗 He puts all his heart and soul into his work and you can cleary see it ☺️ his passion and energy is always there and it always seems like he is shooting a movie for the first time ❤️ Nobody deserved all the awards this year as much as Ranveer did. I'm sooo happy for him. God bless him!

Thank you video junkie. Actually I’m always confused about how long our videos should be. The conventional wisdom is that no one has the appetite for anything longer than 3 minutes. So we think we are pushing our luck with such a long one. It’s always gratifying to hear people ask for more!

Your comment gets me thinking if I actually have a lot of free time on my hand..but Ranveer is phenomenal and his energy is really out there. Having said that, I would anyway watch your interviews (as long as they are) as you one of the tiny few journalists who has such interesting questions and do such thorough research before going into one.
P.S. I was tuning into your channel twice everyday since you showed us a snippet of the in form Rabbity Ranveer entering your studios..:)
+Anon Anon Hrithik's philosophies are logical and inspirational. Just because he annoys you doesn't mean that his videos have to be shorter. If you don't like him or what he has to say, just don't watch them; or skip the parts you don't want to hear.

She’s just very patient and let him say everything he wanted to say and that’s why this video is very honest and you can connect to this video in an emotional way. Good convo, and Ranveer is clearly a sweetheart. I hope there'll be more info later on Bajirao characterisation, what Ranveer understands of Bajirao's worldview, and how he approached a historical warrior and minister, one who married a Muslim princess even as he was leading battles against the Mughals, what his references were, what style of warfare was used etc etc. urghhh there is so little information and accountability to audience with this movie so far! The art looks great but i need the historical detailing to be believable!! Already grimaced at Deepika's warrior riding into battle with long open hair flying free! Is this movie for intelligent audiences or not?

Great interview, Anupama. As an English fan, it is hard to understand Hindi dialogues so THANK YOU for your English interviews that give a greater insight into an actor's personality. Please bring Ranveer Singh more and ask about the candelabra scene with PC (Kashibai) in Bajirao.. I think when his tears dropped on his cheek whilst extinguishing the candles is when Sanjai L B said Ranveer could be Daniel Day-Lewis. Watch the scene and ask Ranveer about the process. By the way, I think Ranveer Singh ruled Bajirao with his acting. Also, sadly, his scenes with DP did not create magic. Ranveer scenes with PC did- they were show-stealers!
I simply love his voice; most time striking looking man when open their mouth will be like a deflated balloon, but Ranveer's voice is so sensuous and full of love - a man to die for; Gosh!

That was an enjoyable and a fun interview. :) Its refreshing to watch younger actors experiment with looks for their roles. E.g:- Ranveer in Bajirao Mastani or Sidharth in Brothers.
Versatility always takes precedence. And I think that's what nowadays audience also looks forward to. Films like Bajirao, Brothers, NH10 kind of push the envelope in the mainstream cinema. It's not always the popcorny films what we need :)

Thanks Yoginya. I think actors need to experiment all the time. It’s interesting to see the older actors also choosing characters that take them out of their comfort zone. I’m very intrigued by what Shah Rukh is attempting in Fan or Aamir in Dangal. For viewers, it’s exciting times ahead.
