I've watched 2 or 3 of these lectures and cannot help watching more, learn something new each time. Thanks Gary!

First time I've come across someone who knows more about avocados than Dr. David Crowley. You should publish your findings in a peer reviewed journal.

What a wealth of knowledge in this video! Thank you!
You didn’t say much about the Reed variety (except that you grew it and picked the fruit early and it ripened into great tasting avocados).
Any additional info on that one?

Having some success with avocados in crushed granite. Good drainage, great mineral content, nothing to rot. Heavy as lead though.

If you have well draining soil, do you need to fertilize more often? My tree looks pretty yellow.

In Cerritos the June bugs eat my avocado and persimmon tree leaves from April til June this year. You can go out when it gets dark with a flashlight and pick off 5 or 6 of the dark brown beatles that are about coffee bean size . You can be surprised that a few of these June bugs can eat so many leaves . Then after that they go away and the tree gets new summer leaf growth that dont get eaten

Gary, the sugar in fruit is good for you, people cure type 2 diabetes on a fruit based diet all the time, avocado would probably be the least healthy fruit because of its high fat content

Healthy fats are essential to our diets. Our brain is nearly 60 percent fat. We've learned in recent years that fatty acids are among the most crucial molecules that determine your brain's integrity and ability to perform. Avocado is one of the healthiest oils you can have.

no oil is healthy, if you are going to focus on fats you should be focusing on omega 3s as too much omega 6 and other fats is inflammatory, also every cell in the body runs on glucose from sugar, only processed sugar not attached to fiber and taken with fat causes diabetes @@user-ml4io2rr6y
