      Do you know a way to fix the original lightbars? I have three UDRs and and all of them do have at least one lightbar where some LEDs are blind or the brake light doesn‘t work. One good nosedive can already knock out some of the front grill LEDs.

  • @TeamRC3D

    Yes water will kill them. It will also kill the bearings. I am going to a Video on maintenance and recommended upgrades and how to minimise breakages

    Thanks for this. I'm planning on trying different oil weight setup, this video will be useful. Quick question, do the dampers have any rebound on the UDR?

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  Před 2 lety

      I don't set them up with any rebound. Because you have effectively 8 shocks then i don't think you need to. Let me know how it goes with the different oils. Just be aware that due to the geometry of the truck the rear needs a heavier oil than the front

    • @karimrachman5629
      @karimrachman5629 Před 2 lety

      Noted on the no rebound. Today I ended up filling it with (35wt) 400cst front & (60wt) 800cst rear. It's slightly more damping and firmer. However, I'm hoping the shocks will soften just a bit after a few more runs. Again, thanks for this video, much appreciated.

    I’m contemplating buying a udr or saving for something else like an maxx. do you think the udr takes too much maintenance compared to the maxx

    Hi, I can’t seeem to keep the blue rubber cap seated when I place the top shock cap on. It will screw down hand tight and the shock will feel good and smooth for a bit until I compress the shock 100%. Then it seems to blow the seal out of place. Do I need to tighten a bit more?

    • @TeamRC3D
      @TeamRC3D  Před 17 dny

      It’s tricky, use plenty of oil, check the diaphragm for any splits

      @@TeamRC3D what worked for me was placing the cap securely in the shock cap and making sure it’s seated fully then placing the shock cap on the shock. Hey I also want to thank you for all your udr videos. They helped me tremendously. 🤜🤛

    This doesn’t work. My shock keep leaking oil out of the top air hole. I don’t know what to do.

      The blue think that looks like a contact lens keeps flipping inside the shock when I tighten it. It pops out of place.

      I got it to work. But my shock has lots of rebound. Is that something I should get rid of? If so would I just put less oil in it?

    These trucks are water resistant not water proof. A puddle here and there is ok but going into rivers and streams is no good. Keep it out of the water, and stay in the dirt where it belongs.
