    Hi! I have a question - our geyser goes on at 5pm as we have a solar that heats it up during the day. When the water reaches its capacity 55 degrees and the 3 droplets are flashing - is it still using electricity? Or will it only use when the temperature drops and use to bring it back to 55 degrees? I’m trying to figure out the best solution to have warm water and save electric at night

      @rudolfbotha6909 Před 19 dny

      When flashing, no escom used, but is potentially available. So when temp drops to ,say 53, it will use escom again to heat up to 55 again.

      Its difficult to give you an answer. I don't understand when you say " the water is still not going on". As for wanting to change the temperature, maybe your unit is faulty

    Good video, thank you. I have a question, maybe you know the answer. At the moment when the solid 3 element lights come one, so the heating time slot is activated, my water temperature is not moving at all, not even a degree. The temperature at that time is below the max temperature it is set to and the lights are solid red (not flashing) indicating that it should heat and rise, but nothing happens. What could be the problem? I will be consulting the plumbers again that replaced my burst geyser, because this issue happened shortly after they installed the new geyser, but would like to know your opinion.

    • @bushieswatboer1876
      @bushieswatboer1876  Před 7 měsíci +2

      So when your water does not heat up, the element might be faulty. If you have a newer geyser, unlike mine, the new geyserwise also has a termostat thingamajic it comes with. That might also be your problem. Or your geyserwise is not set up properly. That is my 3 options for you to start looking at but bare in mind, I am no professional...hope you come right

    • @abizziegirl
      @abizziegirl Před 7 měsíci +1

      @@bushieswatboer1876 The issue was fixed! In the end it was the geyserwise thermostat thingamajig, that was faulty, that needed replacing. It cost R550 excluding labour costs.

      We usually get that if it was a very cold evening. All we do is switch off the geyser circuit breaker, wait 3seconds and switch it back on. This always clears the error for us

    • @bushieswatboer1876
      @bushieswatboer1876  Před 6 měsíci

      The spanner icon means that there is an error. Switch off the geyser circuit breaker and switch it back on after 3seconds. If the error remains, get a professional to look at it.

      I normally just switch off the geyser circuit break at the main DB-board. Wait few seconds and then switch back on. If that does not work, then it's time to call a professional
