Each time you post, we learn something new and it takes a while to process. So don't stress yourself. Thanks for the great content.

      @@anon2693 It's racism. So is sniping about White countries making skincare products. They are _not_ made "for Caucasians," but _by_ Caucasians, in Caucasian countries. This should be expected, and accepted, especially by those of us who move to White countries. And Whites scar as easily as non-Whites, but it's not racist to say that, and it doesn't make most of the world feel indignant, so it won't gain attention.

I am personally trying to go as natural as I can with my skincare though I know when trying to treat a specific problem, "all natural" may not always work. However, fragrance can denote a mixture of any one of 3000 chemicals so you are correct, it absolutely has no place in skincare!

    You always mention that dimethicone is good for the skin. My beautician advised to avoid any creams with dimethicone as it causes irritation.
    Please can you advise.

    Hi doctor V. I'm 59 years of age, oily combination skin. I used Estee Lauder for +_ 7 years and was happy about it. My skin was bright and lovely, but now i cant afford it any longer it has become too expensive.
    So doc i need your advice here, which product would you recommend for me? I need something good but fragrance free.

  • @hithere8140
    @hithere8140 Před 4 lety +1

    Consumers like fragrances, who doesnt like pretty smells? But many also dont know that fragrance is a source for dermatitis. Its possible that many consumers knowing this would choose fragrance free because they want to do whats best for their skin but i feel like most would still choose fragrance because of the experience. Solution is make a fragrance free version of their most important products because thats the most inclusive.

    Much appreciated effort Dr. V. Mainstream brands are easily available and generally affordable too. Love seeing all your videos, I even take notes 😉. Niacinamide is v irritating for me at 10% (The Ordinary). You always say that niacinamide is non irritating for skin of color. Could you please educate us on this?

      @The Lovely Mel Chan I had been doing a lot of research since I posted, so I don't know if this will help u...but I saw some where that under 25, Retinol is not neccessary. But starting at that age. It might be a good thing to start thinking about. As for the Olay Day cream, all it has as an active really is Niacinamide, so yeah like a commenter said, it's fine to use

    Where & How do you walk the fine line between “skin of color” & “caucasian skin” in terms of skin care ? Not just if you’re 50% Middle Eastern 50% European like me....there are still plenty of fully non-European ethnicities that have fair/pale skin...Namely Moroccan, Lebanese, Armenian, Persian, Kashmir/Pakistan/Northwest India, and of course Korean women! I tanned very easily as a child & as an adult I burn easily, also with post-partum hormones I now have dark armpits, dark belly button, major stretch marks, also with my North European genetics mixed in, I occasianally have the propensity for minor rosacea....

I love to see reviews on everyday brands that are easily accessible in the supermarkets. I think you have an amazing channel.
