Alternatively: draw a circle with a dashed stroke and set the stroke width to the diameter of the circle (or less to leave a 'sun'). Then you can use the dash/gap values to adjust the number of rays (and also the ray-to-space ratio). Outline the stroke and off you go.

I know this isn't the right video but I currently downloaded a chain brush and for some reason I can't find any help on how to exactly fix the brush itself. When I draw a line or try to use the brush, only 1 chain link appears but it's stretched and distorted, is there a way to fix this?

That is absolutely ridiculous. It would be fantastic if Ai would fix the "Expand" option when doing this with "dashes."
