Hi Blake, that's a good question, and sorry for the late response. I haven't ever used the samples on the OS disk, I've always used disk images from this site: llamamusic.com/s50s550/unusual_samples.html For some reason the samples on the OS Disk all play the same notes an octave apart, apparently theyre just broken, so you would need to load the OS disk, then load the sample disk. Also that site should have all the info you need for troubleshooting. I also highly recommend installing a gotek, since writing floppies can be a pain. Hope this helps and enjoy your s50!
How do you get the stock sounds to not just play the same note? I bought a used one and just want to make sure it works.
