- Over the years, we at TheSmokies.com have told you about many of the best places to eat in Gatlinburg.
But we’ve always broken it down into subcategories. Best seafood, best pasta, best pizza, best steak, best barbecue, that kind of deal.
So what do you, the discriminating diner, do when forced to choose between the best of the best of the best?
You’ve been out alone, in the cold, wandering with nothing more than a fork and your wits to discern the best place to eat.
Well, my friends come on home, the water’s fine.
This is, in fact, the definitive list.
The list of lists. You need nothing more than your appetite - and probably some form of monetary compensation to pay for your meals - and we will guide you home.
No nonsense, straight to the point… harts off to you sir!
Nicely done video thanks 😊
As usual fabulous information!
No Smoky Mountain Brewery?
You done goofed.
Short, sweet and succinct! ❣️✨
Crockett's Breakfast Camp is arguably #1 in town. No lower than 5 in my opinion.
Fair! It's a great restaurant
Yes!
Crockett's gives you a ton of mediocre food. Not worth the wait at all. We heard great reviews of the cinnamon roll, orders it & even it wasn't good. Cumberland's next door is owned by the same people and their food was fantastic!
We stayed in Gatlinburg for six days. We ate at Howard’s three times! It was great!
super excited to see Tennessee Jed's near the top, by far one of the most underrated. personally my wife and i prefer smokey mountain brewery over calhouns or cherokee grill even though cherokee grill is a part of the same chain. the greenbriar has always been a want to visit for the wife and i, we may just make that a top selection on our upcoming trip! was surprised as it gets to see Chesapeake's as #1, we have never considered it an option.
Crockett’s should be in this! We love it
Aww c'mon! Bennetts BBQ doesn't make the list? My wife and I NEVER miss it every time we're in the Smokies! Burnt ends and their potato salad... insane
Three Jimmy's is also at the top of our must-haves when we come to town
Isn’t a couple of these franchises?
Keep going the views will come
Love Howard’s
I CANNOT believe Atrium and Parton's Deli didn't even get a mention.
Park grill Knox’s it out of park for the best price loved it for years but miss chimney top mushrooms❤
Crawdaddys has the BEST red beans and rice. It sounds so simple but it’s AMAZING
If u want Cajun style only place is New Orleans sandwich shop❤
Love park grill
The Chesapeake is a wonderful place to eat. A little expensive, but everything is expensive now.
I'm looking for a reasonable family place. Going this spring, 1st time.
Hot Diggity Dawg is easily voted the local favorite.
Smoky Mountain Trout House.
NOTE: Since this recording was originally made, JP's has since closed.
Crocketts should be on this list
No Crocketts?!? Blasphemy.
Greenbrier by far #1
Just an FYI...decided to lookup JP's and it appears that they closed permanently around May 14th, 2022.
Correct Josh! We will add a correction above. So sad
What are considered peek times
Holidays and weekends. Also, July is the busiest month and October is the second busiest.
You lost all credibility with Old Red being on ANY best food list!!! Their food is some of the worst in town! Cherokee and the new Cumberland Jack's are the best. Tennessee Jed's for lunch and Pancake Pantry for breakfast. All you need to know. Apple Barn and Local Goat in Pigeon Forge and your trip is complete. You're welcome. Lol
I agree!
We were just there and add Seasons 101 in Sevierville, LeConte Tapas in Gatlinburg, and Azul in Pigeon Forge! Add Olga's Yodel for Cinnamon rolls! Awesome places!
The Alamo
Howard's is 17...they are better than Peddler
Have to say that the Melting Pot was the most overrated over priced place we have “ever” visited. Not just in Gatlinburg; but period. I have 4 people that I know that feel the same way about the Melting Pot. There is no chance that I’d ever eat there again. None. Not even if it was free.
