by far my favorite of the bunch! which is really saying something because everyone's animations were amazing! i just love how they really used the characters whole body to portray their emotions and really pushed that model to its limits in such a pleasing and smooth way.
0:37 is my absolute favorite! Something about the smoothness of the character and the voice that goes with her. If this were a movie I'd totally watch it!
An animator is a different profession than a character artist, this school has both, but they are different programs because they are different specialities. Like how veterinarians and brain surgeons are different despite both being doctors, to give a random example

@@mist3995 I think it's more safe to compare an artist with another artist. It's not fair to compare it to a surgeon and vet because they work in completely different jobs that do not relate to each other at all. The relationship between modeler and animator is that of a sketcher and colorist. Both are doing half jobs that complete the other and the market will prioritize those who know both instead of just one. It's extremely recommended (if not mandatory/necessary) that you learn both.
I think my favorite is 3:09 The little details like how the lady is at first disinterested and sliding her eyes away at the police officer, the fidgeting with her ear right while she's lying, her forced smile, etc really adds to the animation.
I love how each of the characters have their own personality even though they use the same models. It gives the impression that the scenes are all connected somehow, like Cloud Atlas.
The future of animation looks bright for our generation. They all looked amazing. Someone help me out, was all that audio from movies and series or were they recorded by students?

Longest 6 minutes of my life. But in a good way. Felt like I watched a whole movie. It's incredible how much information can be put in just a few seconds. Emotions, dynamics between characters, internal motivation, potential storylines.... Very well done!
The first clip's rendering quality/smooth animation is a thousand times more beautiful, interesting and amazing than the entire 2019 animated Addams Family movie. Basically, these student clips BELONG in the movie theater. Bravo! EDIT: I am NOT trying to bring down the animation crew for the Addams Family animated movie. I should have worded it better, my orginal idea was to point out the rendering/animation quality is so top notch it beats out other animated movies that went to theaters. Not every animated movie has a Disney budget for their films, I'm sorry if this came across as rude that wasn't my intention.

If you enjoyed it, that's fine you can enjoy whatever you want and this is just my perspective! But at it's core the Addams Family was just exploiting people's nostalgia for money. :(

Wow the talent these students have is remarkable! I love how they took audios from other movies and tv shows etc. and gave them a whole new life. My two personal favourites were the snippet from “When He See’s Me” off the Waitress soundtrack and the one from a New Girl episode. Seriously impressive!
What I find the most impressive about this is that they use the same character models in different scenes but each animator really makes it feel like they’re completely different person.

It is used for actions (like waving hello). If you slow the video speed to .25 you can see it. When the girl spins, it looks very different than when the guy gets squished in the door.
1:06 This one is my favourite. I laughed at this the hardest and it's oh so smooth. Edited a week later: I just rewatched New Girl and turns out the sound was from that TV show!! asdfjkl S1Ep1 New Girl. It was Nick's voice.

No one is talking about it because it was a it was more of a project for the students to put the models into a scene that is based off of a scenario from a movie, play, meme of their choice (that is why some of the dialogue may sound familiar) and animate them while also animating the environment around them i.e lighting the models and the environment, animating props etc. Hopefully that answers your question:))

This legit looks good, the expression in some of the clips were Pixar level accurate, others felt like they needed a little bit of work but they were good overall

All of these are amazing, very fluid without straying too far out of the physics that it dips into uncanny valley. One of my favorites was definitely the cafe scene by Tatyana Anishchanka. It demonstrated the natural movements of talking as you’re going about cleaning things, really well.
