  • A quick video for installation of FreeCAD 0.19 and above on a Mac. The system may prevent FreeCAD from being launched due to permissions as it is not signed as is not coming from the App store so therefore is not trusted. This video shows you how to solve this and allows you to install to the applications folder and launch FreeCAD as you would do with any other application.

Thanks for the video. I managed to get it installed on my M2 MacBook Pro but every time I start FreeCAD I get "The 'git' command requires the command line developer tools. Would you like to install?" Is there anyway to lose this. I don't think I want/need the command line developer tools.

Hi, Is this installed on Intel or M1 Mac? If it is on M1, have you noticed any issues with OpenGL ?

This is not working for me. It still takes forever to open and still show the Verifying "FreeCAD" bar. Any idea what could be the problem? Is my mac to old?

@@MangoJellySolutions Ok, nevermind. I just tried again, and now it works fine now... It didn't last night when I had just installed it and followed your video... Thank you for trying to help anyway :-).
